Can we talk about the swashbuckler?

So this is supposed to reflect the gunslinger and fighter .... I had this image in my heD of an awesome pirate like jack sparrowish character that I was going to be able to play .... But there is absolutely nothing that helps with pistols for this class intact I don't see much of the gunslinger at all aside from the grit mechanic.... I would really love to see a cutlass in one hand pistol in the other type pirate which is what this class should be

It was announced alongside the class that though the base swashbuckler is not proficient in firearms, there will be an archetype that is in the final version.

The basic rules of class design in PF seem to be, with the exception of Gunslinger itself for obvious reasons, that the basic version of every class assumes No Guns, and an archetype is usually made available to get guns into (insert class of your choice here). Swashbuckler's no different than most other classes in that vein.

Man, come on

Better yet, read it there, since this has been brought up 40230204 times and answered, like Ivan did, virtually every time

I think a Fighter-Rogue combo is more in keeping with the Errol Flynn concept of a Swashbuckler.
