So we put our two campaigns on a month hold to get in on the playtest. As I'm planning on running Carrion Crown when we're done with Runelords in a couple months, I decided to use the playtest to run some prelude story, specifically the breaking of the lesser seals. I started tonight with Crown of the Kobold King to lead into Hungry are the Dead.
For our party the Bloodrager was pretty effective, and the Slayer made skill checks like nobody's business. The Swashbuckler was effective, but did run out of panache pretty quickly. The Skald's player was having an off night with dice and did almost nothing. The War Priest (Urgathoa - magic blessing) didn't do much beyond what a normal cleric would do, but did one shot six kobolds at once with a negative channel.
We'll be back at it in two weeks to finish Cobold King, then I'll have them level as necessary for Hungry. If we still have time by the time the playtest is over, I'll also run Tomb of the Iron Medusa.

Cool campaign idea! A prequel like that is a great place to try out the new classes.
Did your swashbuckler have problems regaining panache? It seems like it should be pretty easy, assuming he's using a rapier for the crits and downing kobolds.
Cheers!

He's actually using a short spear, so less crit happy. And they only got to the first batch of kobolds, to which the war priest walked up to them, neg channeled and killed all six in one shot.
