Working on an inquisitor and I'm unsure what domain / deity I should take.

Advice

I'm working on my inquisitor and we're starting at level three. I am an angel-kin aasimar and I plan on using a longsword and some kind of shield (other than tower) I would prefer a domain that gives me bonus damage, however I might just take a feat in martial weapon proficiency t ouse the longsword.

Sidenote: The deity must be available in the Rise of the Runelords campaign.

Iomedae sounds like your best bet while she doesnt have a domain that would help you in damage right away there are some nice ones which helps the party.

Ymeri and Falayna are decent choices.

Iomedae is cool, but you can't get the damage buff (as has already beeen said). If you were cool with wielding a different weapon, Ragathiel gives bastard sword and I think the destruction domain. AND a bastard sword is just like a longer longsword (better damage, but same crit and flavor, but a bit longer).

I couldn't find him in the Rise of the Runelords Players Guide.

Sorry to elaborate what I meant with Iomedae there are still some nice things. For example:

Glory: You get touch of glory and can now make a member (or yourself) into a nice "face" Personally I would go with the sub domain heroism to give everyone heroism at level 8. (party buff for everyone)

Good: Touch of good is a nice buff for someone else, but probably not what you want, although in a pinch and you cant get to the opponent, giving someone else those nice bonuses would always be helpful. Holy lance on the other hand... wow (not sure about the sub domains)

Law: Touch of law is amazing with someone that has multiple attacks...for you not so much Staff of order is meh.

Sun: ok no clue

War: Battle rage is awesome...for a friend Weapon master though is pretty nice
Sorry for the ramble

It's fine but I'm really not interested in her Ragathiel is who I'm looking at now, do you know what book he's in so I can tell my GM?

Grand Lodge

There is no deity restriction in the Rise of the Runelords adventure path.

That makes no sense.

It's set in Golarion, so you worship a Golarion God.

Where are you getting this from?

Shadow Lodge

Can't recall the book, but here is the page he is on. Could just pull this up for your GM.

Found him in the inner sea world guide pg 234

Grand Lodge

Okay, only the 3.5 RotRL Players guide has a deity list.

This was to mention some of the major gods in Golarion, as the setting itself was not fully established at the time.

It is not a constrictive list of the only gods available, and much of the information has been updated since then.

There is no "worship these deities only" list, or anything that suggests such a thing even exists.

You are a Golarion PC, who can worship a Golarion god.

That is all I see.

Cayden Cailean and Sarenrae are decent for an inquisitor. The Rapier and Scimitar are good weapons for sword and shield.

Why did you choose longsword?

Don't know what the diety restrictions are but personally I'm a fan of Feronia. The liberation domain is very useful and you get proficiency in bastard sword.
