Help building a super turning cleric

Advice

I would like to build a cleric that is really good at turning undead, but I was wondering if there is any way to make it useful at higher levels as the bbeg will always have more hd then you so you cant destroy him.

Nope. Notice how every cleric guide says a big red no to turn undead.

Wow, I was hoping there was something to increase your turn level kinda like caster level increase for arcane dudes. Thanks anyway.

The best way to turn undead is to use Channel Positive energy, you turn undead... into normal dead.

RPG Superstar 2013 Top 16

You can take the Improved Channel feat to boost the save DC by 2, and the Sacred Conduit trait to increase the DC by 1. You could even take Quick Channel to try it twice in one turn. But it probably still won't work, because any undead BBEG will have good Will saves (and likely Channel Resistance to boot). You'd be better off getting a Phylactery of Positive Energy, and just going for damage instead of turning.

Liberty's Edge

You can also use Ability Focus (Channel) to increase the DC by another +2.

Having the Sun domain negates Channel Resistance AND increases your damage dealt.

Having the Glory domain increases the DC by +2 but only for dealing damage.

That said, maybe a build focusing on commanding undead would work better ;-)

Note that the latter can be done, for example, with a heretic Cleric of Gorum (and get the Sun domain) or of Azatoth (and get the Glory domain). Both are CN deities.

If your GM is open to 3PP, The Divine Channeler from Rite Publishing (a kind of variant Cleric) is a channeling monster with channels that can do far more that the core rules allow (effects depend on your domains). This happens at the cost of reduced and more domain-oriented spellcasting though

If you can tolerate being a oracle of Life instead you can take an asimar for extra levels in the Channel revalation.
