Hello everybody.
The VO’s of Indianapolis are starting to work on the WYC schedule for next year. Who’s Yer Con will be held February 21-23, 2014 at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center (same place as last year) in Indianapolis, IN.
BTW, this is a free convention to attend.
We had a huge presence last year and plan on keeping a similar schedule this coming year. We are going to run Season 5 scenarios (and maybe some of the later season 4), and having Season 5 special ran on Saturday night. We are also hope to have Bonekeep levels 1-2 (maybe 3 if it is out and available), and maybe the EX if it has been released. 4 Star GM’s (and high 3 Star GM’s), this would be a good place to work on your total number of “specials” ran for your 5th star.
We are looking for GMs who would like to volunteer to run. There will be Paizo prizes available to win for both players and GM’s—we are still working on exactly how to distribute this. We will be having a stipulation in that if you do not show up to GM a slot you were scheduled for that you might not be eligible for some of the rewards. Additionally if a person planning on playing or GMing fails to show up for the slot they signed up for, then the rest of their reservations for later games might become void—contacting one of us as soon as a person knows they will not make their slot will help ensure that this doesn’t happen.
Slots are as follows:
Friday 21st
12pm-5pm
6pm-11pm
Saturday 22nd
8am-12pm
1pm-6pm
7pm-midnight (this will be the slot when we run Siege of the Diamond City…make sure that you feel comfortable running the special if you volunteer for this slot).
Sunday 23rd
9am-2pm
Please let us know if you are interested in GMing or volunteering to help run HQ. When you do respond, please make sure to mention what slots you would be interested in running.
Please email Jim Crase (lester_dorsey@yahoo.com), if you have any questions or are interested.

Calling all GM's interested in running!
The WYC Warhorn Site is up just for GM's to register at this moment.
By the 21st I plan on having (almost...see below) all the scenario's up in their respective slots for GM's to ask/sign up for.
The scenarios being ran at WYC are:
Season #4, Scenarios: 4-20 (Word of the Ancients), and 4-26 (The Waking Rune).
All Season 5 Scenarios from #1 to #13 (If #12 and #13 get rolled out on time).
Bonekeep 1 and 2
We Be Goblins, and We Be Goblins Too!
And Season #5's Special: Siege of the Diamond City.
Multiple games of each scenario are going to be available to play and run, except Season #4's two scenarios (just one slot each for those, unless I get more GM's saying they want to run (and/or play) those).
Again, if you are not going to GM at WYC please be patient, let us get the scenarios up and GM's to start to fill the said slots. This should hopefully take no longer than the very beginning of the New Year.
Regards,
Jim Crase

Patrick Harris @ MU wrote:Yes !!!Is there's a link to that Warhorn site? ;D
Also, are you guys likely to get scenario support? Which is to say, if I sign up for something I don't own, will I be able to get a copy of it to run from?
Edit: Nevermind the first question, I Googled it. :)
I'm taking that as "yes" to the second question, so: Sweet. :D

Just make sure Jim or I have your Paizo Account email address.
Or better yet use it as your contact address on the Warhorn site.
Hopefully we can have the scenarios in your downloads a month or so early.

As amazed as I am, I actually got the Scenarios up to have GM's sign up on them....Warhorn 2.0 is SO MUCH EASIER than v1.0.
I would say that these scenarios are pretty firm on what will be played. There might be some slight shifting in January...mainly for example: if we start to see that nobody is signing up for WBG or Confirmation on Saturday afternoon or Sunday. But otherwise the games should be set.
Please pick the slots you would like to GM and sign up.

Am I missing something? The site says, "You are cleared to sign up for sessions." I can see the session listings and the number of Players/GMs who are signed up (all zero at this point). But I don't see a "GM" button to sign up.
I get the same thing. I don't know if Warhorn will let you open one side up without opening both GM and player options.

Just a quick bump.
Just a couple more days until I will open up WYC Warhorn to all people wishing to sign up to play the scenarios.
Thanks all who have already signed up to GM, and any other people who wish to GM, we still have 30 or so slots open.
We are also expecting needing a few overflow GM's (especially on Saturday) willing to run games like We Be Goblins and maybe another Confirmations. And we are also hoping for people who might want to volunteer to help at HQ.
Finally, I do think Chris is hoping for a few strong souls that he can tempt to run Midnight Madness. This will likely not be posted on Warhorn, however we will have some kind of Post-Board for announcing things like Midnight Madness and any last minute changes.

The WYC 2014 Warhorn Site is now Open for all people to come in and sign up for games. The site will now allow anybody to sign up and immediately start registering for games. Please if you sign up for a scenario if at all possible please put your class and level.
Cheers and Happy New Year!
P.S. I am certain that once Chris wakes up he will announce the surprise announcement. :-)

And with that announcement, there will be some changes to the schedule. The "Mystery Placeholders"--that were originally going to be 5-12 and 5-13--will become scenarios that the above authors have written for Paizo.
The site should be modified in the next few hours.
Will they be running them?
|
If 5-12 and 5-13 have been released from Paizo, those scenarios will likely get ran 2 or 3 times each...maybe more. Near the end of January Chris and I will look at what tables are full (or waitlisting), and what tables have few (or no) players signed up for. We will then possibly reorganize to meet what people are wanting to play.

What about Ghenett manor, Glass river or Dragons demand?
If you're asking me, sure, I'll run whatever works best, though for purely practical reasons I think I'd prefer Ghennett Manor or Glass River over running a portion of Dragon's Demand.
Shoot me an email with more info later?

Greg Hurst wrote:The 3 other ones Chris mentioned were written by Mike Shel who'll also be there. I'm thinking from last year that he doesn't generally GM, but maybe I'm remembering something else. No, I do not GM. However, I enjoy sitting back and watching the carnage!
You should stop by then when I'm running the Kid's Track. Muhahaha
