I've already done another threat about the Summoner-Syntetist, but now I've other doubts. Does a Synthesist qualify for these talent:
Defending Eidolon;
Focused Eidolon;
Sense Link?
These are talent that a normal summoner can take, but the syntesist doesn't have the prerequisite though he have the same ability named differently.
Also the talent Resilient Eidolon can be normally taken by a Syntesist... but how it work for him?
I hope that my english is not too bad...
*Edit: thanks to Avianfoo for your variant of Syntesist, but my GM prefer to use the paizo materials (letteraly....).

If they no longer have the class features needed to qualify, they can' take the feats.
This... and this applies in every case in which someone has either delayed a class feature (Bladebound Magus) or has surrendered it entirely. (Hex Magus, Wrath Oathbound Paladin,). You can't use class features you don't presently have as pre-req even if they are normally a part of your base class.

Defending Eidolon
Synthesist does not have Shield ally class feature, does not qualify.
Focused Eidolon
Synthesist does not have Shield ally class feature, does not qualify.
Sense Link
Synthesist does not have Bond Senses class feature, does not qualify.
These are called out as modified or replaced in the Synth description, so Azten is right.

Another doubt... while "wearing" an Eidolon a Synthesist can wield a simple weapon? Does he still proficient?
It states that you can use all of your abilities, of which Simple Weapon Prfoiciency is one. A single-level dip into Fighter, Barbarian, Ranger, etc. can net Martial Weapon Proficiency.

I could point out that traits don't have requirements of the sort. there are traits in ultimate campaign and the like, that give bonuses in regards to your eidolon. you might not have the eidolon class feature, however you still have an eidolon, even if you merge with it.
So feats that use it as a prerec, no. Alternate favored class benefits and traits, yes.
