Season 5 Player Boon #4 is only useful if you are a GM?

I just want to make a confirmation here as I received a Boon today which while it was labelled a Player boon, only seems to apply if you are a GM. Is this correct?

The Boon is 'Extra Hours' which basically allows you to make a Day Job check for one of your own characters *IF* you GMed and are applying a GM Chronicle sheet to that character. ie allowing you to make a day job check because you GMed.

Im not repeating the exact wording because Im not sure of the legality of that.

Can someone official please confirm if this is correct?

Yes, the boon only applies if you GM. That's the only time you're not allowed a Day Job roll, so this boon allows you to do so.

Maybe it is meant to encourage players to GM more. :)

I believe that as of the most recent version of the Guide players now get Day Job rolls for modules. No source, but it's not listed among the differences between a module and scenario in the current Guide.

Yep. The only time you don't get a day job check now is when you GM. Day Jobs are made in modules, now, too.

Since nobody else mentioned it, I will. There is a thread for trading boons around here somewhere. A lot of GM's would probably like that boon.

Nickolaus, you can;

1) trade it for another boon with someone (in your area or online)
2) GM and use it on one of your characters getting the extra gold
3) or you could give it to a deserving GM in your area with the saddest puppy eyes... *makes a sad look and thinks feed me... feed me!*
