Dragon Disciple Feat Advice

Advice

Recently my gaming group has some downtime, what better to do than play an over powered eventually Mythic game?!

Race Building. We had thirty points. I've chosen these...

RP-0 Humanoid (Reptilian/Human)
RP-4 Racial Modifiers- Advanced +4 Str, -2 Dex, +2 Mental Stats
RP=4 Advanced Strength +2 Str
RP 4 Greater Deference Training +2 AC (Dodge Bonus)
RP-0 Standard Languages
RP-4 Wings 30 feet (Clumsy)
RP-2 Wings 40 feet (Poor)
RP-4 Bonus Feat
RP-2 Static Bonus Feat
RP-1 Natural Armor
RP-5 Massive Weapon- As per the Barbarian Titian Mauler ability
Total RP spent 30.

Stats were rolled in a 4d6 drop lowest format. Got extremely lucky with 18,18,17,16,16,14. Final stats are as follows...

Str 24, Dex 16, Con 16, Int 14, Wis 16, Cha 19

I'm not entirely sure about the second picking of wings seeing how later in the game I'll be able to gain it through Dragon Disciple.

Through the beginning of the game each person some special goodies.
I got an artifact amulet that gives me a scaling breath weapon and Exotic weapon proficiency in Bastard Swords.

1st Power attack
Bonus Weapon Focus (Bastard Sword)
Static Bonus Feat (???)

Now the question for me is feats! I have no real idea for feat on this character. I've heard that arcane heritage is always a good option other than that I'm at a loses. Replacing the second Winged to give two RP back. Any advice pertaining to alternate Race Point options would be nice along with feat suggestions.

arcane strike might be helpful. i'd say look into having your your entry class for DD as either arcane duelist bard (cha-centric) or magus (spellstrike/combat for melee/casting action synergy, access to some fighter feats eventually) to help with the melee-ness, and the draconic eldritch heritage feats (gives claws, wings, natural armor, etc.) if you can afford them.

other feats to look into might be metamagics, combat casting, improved initiative, lunge, and the spell focus/penetration feats.

if you go magus, the spell blending arcana might be good for you.

just off the top of my head though.

Thank you every much Mask, and if I'm looking to go a more melee less spell caster heavy build? I've looked around and found the Paladin/Sorcerer build to be interesting. Smite Evil and Divine Grace just seem to be too good to pass up on.

I played a dragon disciple in a fairly long campaign and got up to about lvl 16. I went sorc1/two handed fighter5/dd10
When you have 30-40 str the bonus damage from two-handed fighter becomes pretty great and if you learn primarily buff spells you can access some really great things two handed fighters can't normally get like a +4 shield bonus and mirror images, not to mention easy access to the basics like enlarge person. If I had buff time I just cast in my full plate regardless of the failure chance.
My feats were standard two handed fair like power attack, furious focus, weapon focus, etc. honestly though two handed fighting is not feat intensive and you might be best off asking your teamates if they would like to mix it up with some teamwork feats. if not you might consider arcane armor training or you could switch it up and focus on feats to use while you are in form of the dragon. My group is A-ok with monk-esque dragons but your milage may vary. I also bought all the AC increasing feats I could get my hands on like ironhide (you get scales so you should qualify)

some more ideas:
if 3pp stuff is allowed, check out the cabalist magus--gets the magus-y cast-in-armor goodness, spellstrike/combat, sorcerer bloodline built-in (you'd likely want draconic) and possibly runs off of charisma!

back to regular stuff:
something like sorc (draconic bloodline) 1 / paladin (oath of vengeance+fiends) 5 / DD 10 / paladin 4 could work nicely. the bestow grace spell is hilarious on a cha-centric paladin build, btw.

grab some bracers of the vengeful knight for a +4 paladin level (13 total) for smites (or bracers of the merciful knight if youre going for LoH optimization), and a robe of arcane heritage to snag a +4 effective level (15 total) for the bloodline abilities.

a slightly more castery setup might go sorc 1 /paladin 5 / DD 10 / sorc 4

the bracers bring you to level 10 for smites, but you get more arcane spells and reach the bloodline ability capstone.

.

you could even dip 1 in lore (sidestep secret) or nature (nature's whispers) oracle to get your AC and either reflex (doesnt stack with divine grace unfortunately) or CMD to use your charisma instead.

All very interesting options Mask, sadly 3rd Party Material is not allowed. However I would agree that Bestow Grace is hilariously good, only that every other party member is not of good alignment. Robes of Arcane Heritage are a good magical body item. I've also heard that there are rings that provide Revelation of a Oracle in Ultimate Equipment. I've poured over that book and still there are things that I still find every time I look at it. Bracers of the Merciful Knight seem to be exactly what I'm looking for. An effective +4 Paladin level for healing and uses along with Oath of Vengeance seem to solve the Smites per day issue.

Yet again Mask, you've been extremely helpful. Magicalme1 you also have good suggestions. Two handed fighter sounds like a very interesting option especially with the high strength the character has.

in the class guides sticky there should be a link to "improving your class with items". its very helpful.

I was under the impression that RAW only allow spontaneous casters to prestige into DD. If entering with Magus, you'd still have to take a level of either bard or draconic sorcerer to make it happen, no?

theres a 3rd party archetype (cabalist) that makes magus spontaneous.

coincidentally it also gives magus a bloodline of their choice which stacks amazingly with DD if its allowed.

You have to be able to cast spells without preparation; you can get this ability from racial SLAs for example, even without going bard or sorc. I can't think of other methods off the top of my head though (short of getting access to rogue talents).

EDIT: actually, Mage's tattoo should work.
EDIT II: nope they are 0 level spells...
