Magic jar (and similar spells) and magic equipment

Rules Questions

When I cast magic jar (or similar spells, e.g. Marionette Possession) do you keep boni from your magic equipment/ spells? It says that you keep your mental attributes, BAB, level etc.- but what about enhancement boni to them like headband of intelligence? What about items like a Ring of Protection?
Example: I cast magic jar as a wizard and put my conscience into the jar. Now, when I try to take over a bad guy, is the spell DC still influenced by the headband of intelligence? What about after to taking over- do I have to take the headband from my own body and now wear it on my new body? What about spells giving enhancement boni (fox cunning ect.)?

I had the same question. But magic jar is so bad written that I finally did not use it at all.

I would say if the magic effects purely the mental then you would keep the bonus, otherwise no.

So headband of intelligence yes. Ring of Protection no. Think of BAB as a mental stat in terms of how well trained at combat you are. Spells cast on your own body would still only effect you if they effect mental only. This is all just the rules as I see it, there is no clear answer.

The easiest way to run it is just no to everything since the argument could always be made that magic affecting your old body doesn't extend to anything or anywhere else.
