Rules Questions

So lets say you are playing a Samsaran Druid, and you are at least partially melee focused.

Lets say you also chose the alternate racial trait that gives you additional spells from other spell lists.

Lets say you chose Righteous Might.

What kind of DR would you get? You don't channel energy, and you don't spontaneously cast spells, and you don't know all the cure spells like an oracle does (though you do know them).

I figure since you know the cure spells but not the inflict spells you would have DR/ good

What do you guys think?

You can dissect the text and get an unambiguous answer (no DR); but that's reading something into it that the writer didn't intend, so don't bother with that.

My answer is going to be "no DR" as well; Druids aren't tapped into the power of aligned Outsiders the way Clerics are. "Neutral" isn't really associated with DR; DR/magic would be a reasonable compromise. But this is all IMHO.

I would say if you're good aligned you have DR/evil, if you're evil aligned you have DR/good. If you're neutral on the good/evil axis choose one and it is the same henceforth.

Hmm, I guess it would just be GM's call.

I'd either say you don't get any DR or pick one that it will always be. GM call though.

Per the Paizo FAQ on oracle interaction with Righteous Might:

Quote:

If the oracle chose the "all cure spells" option for her spells known, treat that as "channels positive energy" for the purpose of righteous might. If she chose "all inflict spells," treat that as "channels negative energy" for the purpose of righteous might.

I would err on the side of alignment. Evil Samsaran, evil DR. Good Samsaran, Good DR. Neutral Samsaran? Sort of like a neutral cleric channeling energy, in a way. Pick one and stick with it.
