Squire

Question about this..

You can take it at 3rd level, but its not functional until 4th? Am I correct on this?

How I read it you take it at 3rd, and get a 1st level cohort. Then at 7th level it can change to the Leadership feat once the Squire performs his graduation.

That's kind of weird.

The original feat said you had to be 4th level to get it but the errata says 3rd (even though the person who asked the question suggested it should be 5th). Then the feat says that your squire has to be 3 levels lower than you.

It looks like you're right. What's up with that?

*edit* unless you can get a 0 level squire?

A house rule to fix this until it gets properly taken care of by the officials is to start the squire with one level of warrior that gets "retrained" to a proper PC class once the squire would level up.

treat as: you receive a cohort who's level can never be higher then your level -3 (minimum 1).

I forgot this feat even existed. Anyone wanna hit the FAQ button on this one?
