Wonderous items for magus!

I am looking for some advice on awsome wonderous items i could myself make!

im playing rotrl andam al lvl 7 bladebound STR magus and just took craft wonderous item and have +14 on spellcraft

I already have a belt of giant STR+2 and am considering saving up to upgrade it to +4
just for this I would have to pay 50% of the difrence between a +2 and a +4 right? so 7000g ? or is it a difrent formula?

I also plan to make a headband of vast INT +2 asap
I aswell have 3 pearl's of power 1 and a cloak of protection

I am looking for those items you dont realy expect to be so damn good


Ring of Arcane Mastery
Price 20,000 gp; Aura strong abjuration and evocation; CL 11th; Weight —
This ring is a thin but sturdy piece of forged steel crafted to resemble a serpent swallowing its tail, and is magically imbued to reveal the secrets of arcane mastery to its wearer. The ring allows a wearer with an arcane pool to store up to 4 points from his arcane pool in the ring as a swift action. These points remain in the ring until used. A wearer can spend arcane pool points stored in the ring as if they were his own, or can spend them in each of the following ways.

As a free action, the wearer can expend 1 arcane pool point stored in the ring to gain a +2 bonus on Concentration checks for 1 round.
As a standard action, the wearer can expend 1 arcane pool point stored in the ring to use the pool strike magus arcana using his own magus level to determine the effect.
As an immediate action, the wearer can expend up to 4 arcane pool points stored in the ring to use the reflection magus arcana .

Spellstrike Gloves
Price 8,000 gp; Aura strong (no school); CL 17th; Weight—
These black leather gloves are lined with soft black velveteen and have silver buckles that run from the wrist to the elbow. Three times per day, the gloves allow the wearer to treat a ranged magus spell as a spell with a range of “touch,” allowing him to deliver the spell with his spellstrike ability. The glove can only affect spells that normally affect one or more creatures at a range greater than “touch” (such as slow), not rays or other created effects. The altered spell only affects the creature attacked (any other targets normally allowed by the spell are lost).

Spellstrike gloves don't seem very good to me. The best blasting spells are either rays or affect more than one target. The text says you cannot use it with rays and it seems like a waste to use multi-target spells with it.

Spellbook, NEVER EVER EVER LEAVE CAMP WITHOUT IT:)

Seriously though the Blessed Book is 12,500 and lets you have 1000 pages of free spells (You don't have to pay material costs, just time). It does say that a wizard can so check with your GM and see if he allows it to work with Magi (I think it should).

Boots of Springing and Striding are nice because moving fast=killing BBEG faster

Boots of Speed are nice because you can as a free action cast haste on yourself 10 times a day without preparing it in you spell slots (Only works for 1 round at a time).

Hand of Glory is great for the extra ring slot and Daylight and See Invisiblity 1/day each.

Just my thoughts.

Grand Lodge

Spellguard bracers give you a +2 to cast defensively and 3/day let you roll twice and take the better roll for casting defensively.

Gloves of Elvenkind will give you a +5 comp bonus to spellcraft and concentration to cast defensively.

Bane Baldric is nice, but I wouldn't worry about it too much right now


i got combat casting and 20 INT so im not worried about concentration checks right now the ring of arcane mastery however is awsome !

spellstrike gloves allows you to cast spells like chain lightning through a spellstrike.... how is this not useful? rays are garbage compared to this....

even if you cant hit more than one target with it its still gonna hit via a weapon attack AND not provoke an AoO AND do more damage than most other rays or multi-target spells cast while adjacent to an enemy.

Not exactly magus-specific, but my magus plans to get Eyes of the Eagle made for him. Its +5 to Perception is extremely valuable, and it only costs 625g to craft.


no that is good advice!!
im looking for those litle things too as long as i dont need the slots for something more important but i dont see anny eye's slot that is better than that!
