PC's striking specific areas on enemies?

Rules Questions

Say a PC wants to attack a specific area on an enemy like "the ogres head" or even more specifically "in between the ogres eyes", is there an already existing rule that details how a PC would accomplish this? Or if not, what do other people do? Before, I would just have them roll a percentage check after passing the enemies AC, but I'm not really sure about this formula.

There is an optional system in Ultimate Combat called "Called Shots"; that is what you want.

Whale Cancer nailed it, but the Dirty Trick Combat Maneuver can also simulate some of these things

Link to Called Shots as Whale Cancer stated it's from Ultimate Combat.

As a side note, I warn every new table I GM that if they can do it, their enemies can do it... and there are more of their enemies than there are of them. This reduces the players' enthusiasm for introducing rules on called shots to the eyeball.

However, if that's the style that suits you, mazel tov.

I want to make a Lowblow Fighter. That's all he or she does. Refuses to fight Oozes or crotchless enemies.

In the game that I run the last session had the group fighting against some fire giants. The ninja/malefactor (3PP) did a called shot to cut the umm yeah off the giant during a charge while he was invisible. He succeeded in the called shot and now has a "trophy."

Ah. Just like Lucius Vorenus when he came back home from Gaul.

Generally speaking, called shots work against the players more than for them in the same way things like poisons, diseases, etc., are more effective against PCs (long term debilitation hurts PCs but doesn't matter to mooks who don't survive the scene).

That being said, I have found - in theory - the called shot rules to be fairly good. It seems hard to do too much damage via called shots without reducing your to hit ratio substantially.

For simplicity purposes, you could just say "reproductive organ".

But interesting story. I wonder why he'd want something like that as a trophy. Maybe because he is "curious"?

True, I just didn't want to get censored or offend anyone here so I went with something purposefully bland.

The group is comprised of 5 evil PC's in an evil campaign. This particular PC is really insane, there are actually 2 insane PC's that go back and forth all the time to the intense laughter of the table. Quite enjoyable to hear their crazy banter.

Anyhow he'll eat anything if that answers your question and he actually was talking about using this organ as an improvised weapon...

Thanks for the help guys, I'll look into Called Shots promptly.

And um, reproductive organ as an improvised weapon? Sounds like Saints Row the Third to me :)

I prefer just to call it "Ogre Root" and be done with it.
