Alchemist Added bombs via int boosting?

Rules Questions

Okay. I'm a little confused about this.

In Bomb (Su) it says: "Most alchemists create a number of catalyst vials at the start of the day equal to the total number of bombs they can create in that day—once created, a catalyst vial remains usable by the alchemist for years."

So if I can make 5 bombs per day, but I make 7 vials of catalyst, when i drink a fox's cunning extract (for instance, cognatogen would be in question too) then would i be able to make 2 more bombs per day?

Hmm; yes, that sounds perfectly correct, but only if you make the bombs while under the effect of Fox's Cunning.

In Bomb (Su): "Drawing the components of, creating, and throwing a bomb requires a standard action that provokes an attack of opportunity."

So if i were to make 100 vial of catalyst (extreme example), and i had 5 bombs per day. i throw my 5 bombs, then drink fox's cunning, make and throw 2 more, drink a cognotagen, throw 2 more, when fox's cunning ends drink another, throw 2 more.

It doesn't quite sound right (a bit excessive), but by reading text it looks right.

Sounds reasonable enough to me, can't see anything in the rules which says otherwise.

My understanding is that temporary bonuses to abilities only affect such things if they last for 24 hours or more.

"Temporary Bonuses: Temporary increases to your Intelligence score give you a bonus on Intelligence-based skill checks. This bonus also applies to any spell DCs based on Intelligence."

There it is. Thank you for the answer.

So then would a mutagen that affects or STR, and therefore your INT, cause you to make less bombs per day while under the effect of said mutagen?

Mutagen is a temporary bonus/malus, so it works exactly like quoted in the book.

So no, it doesn't interact with your number of bomb/day.
