Level 1 Fighter - Ponzi

Advice

Hey, I've currently been running a campaign, but we had player leave so I got the chance to play as a PC in a short campaign while we waited for them to get back. It was quite a bit of fun so I'm making some stock characters to play in any campaigns that crop up.

Here is Ponzi my level 1 fighter, I am not looking to min/max I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything huge with the design. If there is anything glaring that I've overlooked please let me know.

STR - 18
DEX - 12
CON - 14
INT - 12
WIS - 11
CHA - 10

Equipment - Falchion, Scale Mail, Buckler (Sheathed short sword)

Feats - Power Attack, Quick Draw, Toughness

Skill points - 1 a piece into Perception, Knowledge {local}, Acrobatics , Perform {Dance}

Character fluff - I wanted to make a fighter who dances to pay the bills, I plan on putting plenty of ranks in perform and acrobatics.
The spread skill array is meant to portray a jack of all trades type. I've always wanted to use a falchion as well since they seem really cool.

Scarab Sages

You are sorely lacking in bludgeoning damage and in ranged damage. I'd carry a backup hammer or flail as well as the short sword, and probably some javelins or darts as a backup ranged weapon as well. You have quick draw, so thrown weapons are a good option for you.

Sovereign Court

On the above note, both clubs and slings cost 0 gp, so if you want the thriftiest method of covering bludgeoning and ranged damage, that'd be it. Thrown weapons are aren't a bad idea since you've already got Quick Draw.

With a name like that you must have some scheme in mind....

Sling is good range weapon to cover both range and bludgeoning. I would also second the thrown weapon idea.

I've decided to add the sling and club, as you're all quite correct I do need the option of damage at range/bludgeoning.

Thanks for the help everyone :) and I hope to report in when I get him into a campaign.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Enchant a boomerang with the returning ability. Boom, rangeblunt all in one.
