Duelist while mounted with a lance

Could a mounted duelist use a lance to qualify for most of its class features, like parry? (Assuming it leaves its other hand free.)

So, this is one of those funny ones that depends on your reading, but....

Probably not. Even though you gain the ability to use the lance in one hand, it is still a two-handed weapon (as evidenced by the recent FAQ verifying that you still get 2H Power Attack bonuses). Since the Duelist PrC specifically says it must be a one-handed weapon, the lance doesn't count. It is a two handed weapon with the special ability to be wielded in one hand while mounted.


I would agree with the above conclusion as well
