hafling dervish dex fighter build

my son's character will be dinging 3rd level next session and wanted some advice on his build going forward.

level 2
Halfling dervish / fighter
dex 18
feats: weapon finesse, dodge, dervish dance with 2 ranks dance skill
traits: defender of society(1 to ac), flame of the dawnflower

bab 3 scimitar preferred weapon, wears light armor only

two more feats coming his way
any help.....ty

Weapon Focus never hurt anyone. Improved initiative and toughness are always good choices. Toughness especially since he wears light armor.
