Bard critique please

Advice

Hey guys just looking for a critique on my bard for an upcoming game. As far as I know there are only two of us playing, so I thought disabling device would be useful. Also, please note I am not optimizing him, just want him to be solid. All advice is welcome.

I will be playing him like The Doctor/Indiana Jones.

Half-Elf, male Bard (archeologist)
Str 13, Dex 18, Con 12, Int 13, Wis 9, Cha 16
Stats were rolled and include racial modifiers already.

Feats: weapon finese, (probably use the extra rogue talents to take bonus feats to get the whip chain of feats, and add some archery feats as well)

Traits: vagabond (bonus to disable device), one that give bonus to will save, and a third but I don't know what.

So the idea is that he is an explorer and artifact hunter/liberator. Perception and DD will go up at alternate levels, same with knowledgeable, pick three or four per level and then pick another three or four the next level.

I can't find it right now, but wasn't there a trait from ultimate campaign that granted an additional +1 to all luck bonuses, which would rock for an archeologist.

Your build looks solid.

The trait FangDragon mentioned is called Fate's Favored and it's in the newest book, Ultimate Campaign.

Thanks for the trait tip. Now, does it pay to put any skills into performance for an archeology?

The spellsong feat is pretty awesome, combined with a subtle performance like oratory (that reminds me of a story) or percussion (tapping foot or drumming fingers), for delivering a socially unacceptable spell or subtle buffing, or to let your luck "performance" sustain a concentration spell.
Lingering performance or harmonic spell can stretch out your rounds per day.

Not unless aiming for Dervish Dance, no.

Personally, that's what I'd do, since you can then get Lingering Performance (which Archaeologists need), Power Attack, maybe Arcane Strike, and actually be fairly optimized without changing the concept at all.
