What is the highest stealth you can get by level 5?
What is the highest stealth you can get by level 5?
This depends on available money to purchase magic items, race, and ranks in the skill.
I just made a gunslinger that has a stealth of +17. This is not with any magic items. I suppose I could get a cloak of elvenkind to increase that to +22. It's all in how you look at it.

I'm not very good at this, but I can get the ball rolling at least.
+5 (Dex 20)
+3 (Class Skill)
+3 (Skill Focus)
+2 (That other feat)
+4 (Small Size)
+1 (Trait Bonus)
+5 (Ranks, almost forgot)
So, we are at +23.
Cloak of Elvenkind would give us +28
Favored Enemy maybe, but that is too circumstantial.
Invisibility would make it +48 :)
This is where my ability breaks down. There are probably other magic items that would stack. There are also likely classes that would add to Stealth.
I am playing an archaeologist right now, so +2 Luck and Good Hope Spell for +2 Morale gives us...
+32 (w/ the cloak, but not the invisibility)

Continuing from what Knuckles said, say if you were a goblin you'd get a +4 racial to stealth instead of that +2. What's more, it gets a +4 to Dex so +6 from 22 dex. And why not add in a spell of reduce person? Major magic could get you that. Another +4. Would have to take the Extra Talent feat there. So... what he said, but 7 higher I think? 37. And of course, invisibility if possible. But what I've said a rogue can achieve without any other spellcasters. It'd be pretty cool if you added that 7 to that 42 Knuckles got to.

+2 Feat: stealthy
= +27 stealth WITHOUT ANY ITEMS!!!
