Not looking to reinvent the wheel, but what kind of armor would people say the League of Shadows armor from Batman Begins is?

At first glance I'd say leather armor, but was wondering others thoughts.

Looks like standard cuirboilli / leather armor to me as well. A lot of people assume leather armor = soft leather but the leather armor of D&D was / is not supposed to be soft. It was leather hardened by boiling it in wax and shaped by laying it over a form and cutting pieces. It hardened up, giving a fairly light slightly flexible type of armor. Alternatively there are several Asian armors that could look like it if so desired... I'd go with the standard leather armor myself.

Closest thing to relate it to is leather lamellar cuirass.

Yupp. Perhaps studded leather with armor spikes.

The pic show a cuirbulli breastplate. No studs no lamelar.
So leather armour. Maybe hide if very thick. Maybe piecemeal armor of some oriental stuff. Not sure.

Read 2e's Arms & Equipment Guide for detailed descriptions and history of D&D armour.

Maybe parade armor.

Agile Breastplate? Assuming modern manufacturing materials and methods.

Whatever type it is, it's likely masterwork as well.

A re-flavored version of Snakescale Armor. At least that's how I'd do it.
