Short of the big spells Wish, LWish, using soulgems, etc....
leadership feat is taken with the consideration that the NPC in question becomes flushed out. But what about when it is already made up?
Now could kill the NPC in question then speak with dead...offer to raise from the dead if she pledges her loyalty. Thing is, how do you secure said loyalty?
In the AP Way of the Wicked, the PCs sign a contract with an Asmodean cleric. Game wise it is binding but game mechanics wise, it isnt supported.
Lesser Geas if the person is under 7hd. Unfortunately, my character is not a class that could cast said spell. Even still, it only imparts a -2 penalty. Not earthshattering by any stretch.
I would say at time of encounter we would be @ lv 7 or at most 8.
Basically wanting her as a co-hort but in a RP sense rather than just claiming it via the feat benefit.

Killing and raising someone is a bad way to secure loyalty. It's expensive and if the NPC ever realizes that you were responsible for their death in the first place they will likely desert.
Charm Monster makes someone your friend for days, but you wouldn't get that until level 9.
I recommend befriending the NPC in the mundane way - by offering them something they want, helping them, convincing them that it's a good idea to help you. Diplomacy check stuff.
Also, Leadership can be used to mechanically justify strong loyalty from an NPC, even if built up through RP. For example, a friend of mine wanted his character to start a school of magic, so he took Leadership, stated that the followers were his students, and recruited an existing NPC as his assistant headmaster / cohort.
