I'm making what the title says...I was considering going 4 levels in barb with 3 levels in oracle to attain the necessary bab 6 for the rage prophet...this also gives me at least one more spell known and an additional revelation and the first mystery spell to the oracle.
I was considering the Battle or the Metal mystery...and the haunted curse for flavor...otherwise lame for mechanics.
My question is, what would be a good barb archetype...and which should I start at lvl 1 with...for the favored class bonus if needed.
This will be for PFS so it has to be legal.
I only have the Core book, the APG, UC, UM. so feats and what not have to come from those.
THanks in advance.

Yah I read that afterwards...I think I might still go with the b4/03...this gives me the additional rage power and the revelation...so in the long run I think it works slightly better. Just miss out on the extended rage if I go all the rest of the way with prophet.
I just can't really decide wwhich to start first and what feats...either mystery I take will get me the iron skin, and then I can take a feat to use it once more a day...think I might go for battle with the enlarge person spell, instead of metal with the lead blade spell...basically I need help building it lol...and was wondering if the invulnerable rager would work well with this build, since its abilities level with the prophet.

Alright, I'm gonna start with a barb so that I have the 12 HP to start with for mechanical advantage...taking the elemental kin for archetype, don't need the trap sense.
STR 16
Dex 13
Con 14
int 12
wis 10
cha 14
Gonna take the sacred tatoo instead of the ferocity
I need two good traits, and a decent feat, was thinking diehard...and what would be good starting gear minus the standard weapon armor stuff, or is there like an adventurer pack that has some good items. refer to OP for my limitations in books.

Going with less than 4 levels of Oracle reduces the spell choices you can make when you get your Rage Prophet Mystery spells, and of course it further limits your final caster level
This is what I'm planning for the Rage Prophet in a Council of Thieves game I'm about to start
(Dance of the Blades, Armor Mastery, Vision in Iron)
Rage Prophet Mystery Spells: See Invisibility, Spectral Hand, Dream, Shadow Walk, Vision
Friend in Every Town (Know(local)), Unbreakable Hate
Ferocious Resolve
Power Attack
Extra Rage Power: Reckless Abandon (requires Barb 2)
Iron Hide
Vital Strike
Furious Finish
Gore Fiend
Improved Vital Strike
Ferocious Action
Resilient Brute
Magical Knack is a much more useful trait for a Rage Prophet than Friend in Every Town, but I took it for RP reasons.
Lame Metal Oracle is probably the best Oracle for a Rage Prophet; Dance of Blades counters Lame's movement penalty, and after a few levels you'll be able to move at full speed in medium armour while carrying a heavy load.
I'm going to be using a greatsword one handed for most of my career, with the option to throw down my shield if something needs to be dead just a little bit faster (to get the increased Str and Power Attack damage, and / or to get rid of the attack penalty of Jotungrip)

Don't see moment of clarity rage power, required for prophet.
Ya magical knack is a good one. just need one more now :). I'm gonna stick with what I have for lvling, I'm more focused on a melee prophet...and he gets the 2nd lvl spell in two lvls of prophet, I can wait :).
Can't find city raised or shamans apprentice in the books I have (OP) I know what they do, but I can't use it in pfs without the books.
I like battle for the enlarge person spell. gonna take the iron skin and combat healer revelations and if I take extra revelation, weapon mastery.
falchion with improved critical, and then keen it...crit all the time :).
For my feat, or toughness for the extra HP, he's gonna be in the front a bit :). first rage power is moment of clarity, then I figure out another later when I actually lvl.
so it will be Ele Barb1, lame battle oracle 1, b1, o1, b1, o1, b1, rp1
for your RP, The dance of blades just brings your back to 30 speed, you lose fast movement from titan mauler, and then an additional 10 from lame so thats a starting speed of 20, 15 with medium armor...then back up to 25 for dance of blades. (I might be reading this wrong, or a change) I'm planning on using light, or spell armour...(not just heavy hitter with life and ability to heal as a swift action).
So just to be clear, not hating on yours, I take all the advice look it over. giveing mine a rp flavor with some mechanical insight. thanks for the suggestions though.

My pfs rage prophet build is barb 4/oracle 3 currently. Doing two levels of prophet before finishing out career as barbarian. Invulnerable rager, because I barely miss uncanny dodge, and I went battle to open up dazzling display a level earlier, plus it gives me improved critical on my flavor choice falchion. He's been very effective and fun leveling up from the start.

I guess I forgot to actually write it down in my plan, but it'd be the one taken at Barbarian 2, which is why I have to spend a feat on Reckless Abandon.

The biggest reason that I have my Rage Prophet levels where they are is so that I can get spells from the Rage Prophet mystery that I can't get otherwise, and to avoid getting stuck with only having Unseen Servant to choose from for the first RP Mystery spell.
Can't find city raised or shamans apprentice in the books I have (OP) I know what they do, but I can't use it in pfs without the books.
They're both in the Advanced Race Guide
for your RP, The dance of blades just brings your back to 30 speed, you lose fast movement from titan mauler, and then an additional 10 from lame so thats a starting speed of 20, 15 with medium armor...then back up to 25 for dance of blades. The armour gets applied last, so yeah, for a few levels I'm going to be having a movement of 20 in my armour (15 if I don't have my sword in hand).
I don't remember the specifics but I seem to remember when I made a Rage Prophet there ended up being no good reason for me to enter the PrC at all. I was better off continuing on with levels in Barb and Oracle.
There's not much power difference, but I like the flavour, and the special abilities of the Rage Prophet.
-Rage Prophet levels advance revelations, curses, and rage powers.-SLAs and Guidance from Spirit Guide along with a few extra spells known from the RP Mystery
-Indomitable Caster & Ragecaster make the Rage Prophet's spells more effective than those of an Oracle / Barbarian.
-Greater Rage without having to get all the way to 11th level Barbarian

ya, don't see the reckless abandon feat, and don't have the race guide, can't afford all the books I want :(. streak of financial bad luck, and if I can't show proof I have the book, they won't let me have it in PFS.
But I see your reasoning on the shaman trait, would love that one. and reckless abandon is nice as well.
so I think I'll get toughness for extra hp at first level and every other lvl, and then do rage rounds for favored class for the barb classes, and then skill/hp every other oracle/rp...for second feat the powerattack, then extra rage...and whatever else after that.
Still looking for second trait thought :( character almost complete :)
