Ok, my question is simple, at least I think so, but the answer might not be... Devastating strike adds +2 to +6 damage (dependent on Vital Strike tree progress), but where is it added? it says the bonus is multiplied on a crit, but the base Dice that the bonus is related to are not.
Should a basic VS+DS charge Lance crit look like this: (1d8+STR+DevS)x4+1d8
or this: (1d8+STR)x4+1d8+(DevSx3)?

Charge does not give a standard action. Charge is a full round action.
Vital Strike works with neither charge nor spring attack.
Edit: Charge
A charging character gets a +2 bonus on combat maneuver attack rolls made to bull rush an opponent.
Even if you have extra attacks, such as from having a high enough base attack bonus or from using multiple weapons, you only get to make one attack during a charge.
Lances and Charge Attacks: A lance deals double damage if employed by a mounted character in a charge.
Weapons Readied against a Charge: Spears, tridents, and other weapons with the brace feature deal double damage when readied (set) and used against a charging character.

You can combine VS with Mounted Charges because the devs ruled that the horse is the one charging rather than the rider who is just making an attack at the end of the charge (which gains all the benefits of a charge.
do you have an official source of some sort for this??
I'm playing a halfling cavalier in kingmaker right now and that would up my damage output even more (might even make the 20STR human barbarian cry LOL)

"Lance: If I have the pounce ability and I charge with a lance, do my iterative lance attacks get the lance's extra damage multiplier from charging?
No, for two reasons.
One, because a lance only deals extra damage when you’re riding a charging mount—not when you are charging.."
This is from the same faq linked above it says that you gain the benefits of a mounted charge not when you are charging but when your mount is charging.
Given that pounce works when you are charging for it not to work means you (the rider) aren't charging during a mounted charge.

Well there you go. There's the official source from Illeist showing that its not allowed.
No, as Wind Chime already said, the VS chain is compatible with Mounted Charge. Check pg 427 of "Ask James Jacobs,"; or, I dunno, do a search for "mounted combat vital strike," and do a few minutes of reading.

I still think this is one of the worst rulings on a Feat. It's the rule and I abide by it when I play PFS, but in any home game this is one fo the first Feats I house rule.
It definitely seems to be one of those that was designed to fix one problem (RageLancePounce) and wound up causing half a dozen others thanks to how the feats were worded.
