I would be game!
Sent you a PM, need to move along soon so hurry up if you want in on this scenario.

Shifty, you running anything in PBP Game Day 2?
I hope so, but I've provisionally signed up with another table, just in case. The GM there is aware that I'll be dropping out if this starts up in time.

Shifty |

Heya!
yes the thought had crossed my mind, and I will be drafting up a quick note to all the old player in the next 24 hours seeing who is available and what they might be keen for.
Poz if you want to introduce a new character that's fine, I expect that quite a few of the original guys have been off signing up for adventures :)
Any preferences?
I was tossing up 'Glass River Rescue' and 'Stolen Heir', that said, Perils of the Pirate Pact was the surprise hit last time, and really well balanced (and fast paced) with four players.

GM Hills |

I am hoping to go again, but I am unsure if Aran will be available. He is in a game now that is taking a bit longer than I had hoped. (We are 3 weeks in and only through 1 encounter) IF he is free by then, he will be level 4, so might not be the most ideal for the grouping, but I am interested.

![]() |

I'm up for anything. I might try one of the playtest characters, if I do create a new one instead of bringing Poz back. Or I might create the character anyway and run the other game with him.
For what it's worth, Poz would love PotPP, just based on the nominal reward.

Email out:
Hiya,Gameday 2 has finally been announced, and to that end I intend to participate by running a few tables.
My plan is to run Perils of the Pirate Pact, and Hydras Fang Incident, with consideration towards also looking at Glass River Rescue (yes, clearly a theme).
If you are interested, could you kindly let me know by the end of this weekend so I can plan groups etc. You do not have to have the same characters you used last session with me. Also let me know what you have/have not played from that series (and your preferences of the three) and what level you are – I suspect the 1-5 range will be most likely.

I'm in! I've not played any of those yet. I'll have to get my characters ready, but I have Kishara - Rogue lvl 3, Daeris - Ranger lvl 3 and Azura - Bard lvl 1.

Shifty |

Raoul sleeps around too much obviously.
If you were keen and can name a different 'piratey' adventure I could find a home for you :p
PPP and Hydras Fang were both really quick and slick and work well for PFS play - especially on a timer. GRR I'm not 100% on, as I only played it F2F.

This is Seth.
I add my Alchemist 1 to the group.
Hot headed lava gnome bombardier and field medic

Will use a fresh character for this

Just throw in what you want, Ill shuffle things about.
GRR seems to have had a few players, but I will work around that.
Helaman here... meet my level 1 arcanist. WIP.
A spell slinger with a militant bent and impulsive nature.

Shifty |

General update:
gathering info from several sources, so sorry if I got the minor details wonky but at this stage I am just getting butts to seats to ensure I have the right players in the right scenarios.
I'm less worried about characters and details :)
GROUP A
* Seth - Malleck has already played PPP, so put you down as OK for the other two.
I will get a replacement for Group A for the PPP portion.
GROUP B
* Poz - You seem keen for PPP, you planning on the other two?
Depending on Poz playing HFI and/or GRR, I will get replacements for departing members. Most have done GRR, so I am more worried about ensuring HFI has numbers in due course.

![]() |

Shifty, mine is backwards. I haven't played PPP, I have played GRR (Or rather, I am playing it now) and it is very, very rough. I've been considering dropping from it, but not 100% how that works with PBP and PFS sanctioned stuff.

Shifty |

Aranan, your group (B) should run PPP>HFI>GRR.
The two groups aren't in synch, they are actually playing in different order - it was the only way I could fit everyone in. It was like that puzzle where you have hay, a fox, a chicken, and a boat and you have to get it all across the river.

In this case, I think I should bring Daeris. She will be level 3, drawing heavily from Shifty's advice on her build. ^_~ Which means I have a LOT of finalizing and buying of gear to do!
About the Extra Hours boon... Since it's back dated, can I apply that to Daeris and then roll day job rolls for my GM chronicles going back to that October 2013 date?

Shifty |

You'll need a 5th for my group shifty to take my place in GRR
Looking at the roster I am fairly certain that Group B wont be doing GRR - only one player in that crew elgible/interested. Depending on how we are tracking for time we might substitute something else or just cut the third slot away.

Sweet! Should be rolled gold then :)

That appears to be the case for your GM credits, subject to the various bits and pieces about skills (or lack thereof) etc.

![]() |

Beauty of Extra Hours is that you don't have to have a skill to use it. Defaults at a +4, I believe. I haven't assigned mine to a character yet, but it's coming soon.

![]() |

I am getting Daeris ready to roll. Turns out I was wrong about reaching level 3. One of my chronicle sheets was from playing a pre-gen in a 3-4 tier, and I can't apply it till after this scenario. =/

![]() |

Ok, I think I have her build the way I like, (one last look, Shifty?) now I need the final total of money I have to buy gear with. I guess I'll just roll my boon-granted Day Job Rolls here?
Day Job(First Steps): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 (+10 gp)
Day Job(DWK1): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 (+50 gp)
Day Job(Pen Accords): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 (+5 gp)
Day Job(DWK2): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 (+1 gp) Dang, need to get myself a reroll shirt.
These are her chronicles, 4 of which are GM credit:
Intro 1: First Steps—Part I: In Service to Lore (GM credit) 417+10=427gp
#3-05: Tide of Twilight 521gp
#29: The Devil We Know—Part I: Shipyard Rats (GM credit) 538+50=588gp
#2–11: The Penumbral Accords (GM credit) 507+5=512
#30: The Devil We Know—Part II: Cassomir Below (GM credit) 505+1=506

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Bonus Critical Confirmation (Elf Weapons) (2x) Choose a weapon from the following list: longbow, longsword, rapier, shortbow, short sword, or any weapon with "elven" in its name. Add a +1/2 circumstance bonus on critical hit confirmation rolls with that weapon (maximum bonus of +4). This bonus does not stack with Critical Focus.
Ease of Faith Your mentor, the person who invested your faith in you from an early age, took steps to ensure that you understood that what powers your divine magic is no different than that which powers the magic of other religions. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Diplomacy checks, and Diplomacy is always a class skill for you.
Elven Immunities (Ex) Elves are immune to magic sleep effects and get a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects.
Favored Enemy (Humanoid (Human)) (Ex) You gain a +2 bonus on Bluff, Knowledge, Perception, Sense Motive, and Survival checks when using these skills against humans. Likewise, you get a +2 bonus on weapon attack and damage rolls against such creatures. You may make Knowledge Skill checks untrained to identify such creatures.
Keen Senses (Ex) Elves receive a +2 bonus on Perception skill checks.
Low-Light Vision (Ex) You can see x2 as far as humans in low illumination. Characters with low-light vision have eyes that are so sensitive to light that they can see twice as far as normal in dim light. Low-Light Vision is color vision. A spellcaster with low-light vision can read a scroll as long as even the tiniest candle flame is next to her as a source of light. Characters with low-light vision can see outdoors on a moonlit night as well as they can during the day.
No Spellcasting
Silent Hunter (Ex) Elves are renowned for their subtlety and skill. Elves with this racial trait reduce the penalty for using Stealth while moving by 5 and can make Stealth checks while running at a -20 penalty (this number includes the penalty reduction from this racial trait).
Track (Ex) You gain +1 to Survival checks made to follow tracks.
Trapfinding (Ex) You add +1 to Perception skill checks made to locate traps and to Disable Device skill checks. You can use the Disable Device skill to disarm magical traps.
Warrior of Old As a child, you put in long hours in combat drills, and though time has made this training a dim memory, you still have a knack for quickly responding to trouble. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Initiative checks.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency A ranger is proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with light armor, medium armor, and shields (except tower shields).
Weapon Familiarity (Ex) Elves are proficient with longbows (including composite longbows), longswords, rapiers, and shortbows (including composite shortbows), and treat any weapon with the word "elven" in its name as a martial weapon.
Wild Empathy (Ex) You can improve the attitude of an animal. This ability functions just like Diplomacy check made to improve the attitude of a person. You roll 1d20+2 to determine the Wild Empathy check result. The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly. To use Wild Empathy, you and the animal must be within 30 feet of one another under normal circumstances. Generally, influencing an animal in this way takes 1 minute, but as with influencing people, it might take more or less time. You can use this ability to influence a magical beast with an Intelligence score of 1 or 2, but you take a -4 penalty on the check.

Group Bravo: What is our level and party make-up? The character I had been playing is now level 4, almost 5 and would likely make things a bit trivial. I have GM certs to make a level 2, so I'm game for anything.
