Some advice on building a PFS undead opponent

Advice

The Exchange

Seems like a lot of the scenarios are vs undead (I guess they go with lost artifacts...) I can see two ways to go, dark and light, though perhaps you could combine them. Also, is there anyway to build a front line vs undead tank???

Either oath against undead paladin. Sun and glory domain cleric.

Ranger with Favored Enemy (undead) is another option, as is an Oracle of Bones or Necromancy Wizard for Command Undead or Turn Undead.

The problem with an undead hit is all those nasty things they do. So a save monkey with rerolls/or unaffected anyway/or able to fix whatever they do (and watch out for enchant and fear...)
Or, always detect them and snuff or turn them or, if you can't beat em, join em and control them.

How about a necromancer with the Undead Master feat. You'll already have the pre-requisites: Spell Focus Necromancy (PFS swaps out Scribe Scroll for this) and Command Undead (Necromancers get this for free!) You can effectively Dominate 5 hit dice worth of Undead at first level, turning an enemy into an asset if you wish, or, if you feel morally obliged to destroy them, just Command them to stay still while your companions saw their heads off (or even Command them to jump of a high cliff!)

Thanks! That's kind of the direction I wanted to go in. I had to check the feat to make sure it wasn't exterminated. PFS doesn't like people who play around with undead.

I had an Undead Lord at 3rd level till they made that archetype illegal. He's now a channel focused true neutral Cleric of Urgathoa, with Selective Channel, Shatter Resolve (awesome Urgathoa only feat) and Command Undead. Still detects as Evil, but the Paladins don't seem to mind, despite him sucking the Soul out of one of our enemies!
