ABSOLUTELY WANT
We've been told that Garund becomes more fantasy the further you go south. I wanna roll around in that.
I want to see Dehrukani, with its Mwangi/Azata based culture and otherworldly architecture.
I wanna see Holomog, with its dinosaur riding amazons fighting dinosaur riding lizardfolk.
I want to see all the new cultures that would come out of Garund's African-based themes meeting high fantasy. I want to see more of the lands Jatembe may have walked across.
I've been wanting more on that area since the Inner Sea World Guide dropped some hints.

I still hope Paizo somehow translate more about the Orishas and other african fae and gods.

I remember reading somewhere that Holomog has ancestry that traces back to Azlant. Is that correct?
I think it's been stated that the Holomogi are either Garundi or Mwangi in ethnicity. I hope that remains the case.
I think there's a small ethnic group further north covered in Heart of the Jungle that fits that description though.

That's not correct. Azlant didn't have much to do with Garund at all, with the exception of what shows up in Serpent's Skull... that's one of the main themes of Serpent's Skull, in fact.
The Holomogians are their own ethnicity, although I highly doubt that's what they're called.

I just looked up aranea characters and the anansi folklore. Southern Garund definitely needs these!
Well, they already have something aranea-like. Perhaps a little more sinister than the tales of Anansi, though. Muahaha!

And, of course, there must be a hidden city built around a giant skymetal deposit there.
(Okay, not really, but it would be cool. :)

Well, if someone was looking for a country with catfolk royalty...

How about some Mysterious Cities of Gold? (Based on a Spanish myth set in the Americas, admittedly, but the setting of the cartoon would fit really well into a highly magical fantasy Garund as well.)

Given the hints that southern Garund will be somewhat "highly magical," I'm really curious to know what/if their relationship with the Azlanti might have been like. Whether they had large civilizations in contact (rivalry?) with them, or whether such civilizations developed post-Starfall.
Very little. The bulk of Azlant's direct interactions with Garund were very limited, and were detailed in "Serpent's Skull."

Of all the continents we've yet to do much with... Garund is probably the one that I'm the most interested in, personally.
Really looking forward to it! Any small spoilers as to what else to expect in Southern Garund? What´s going on with the tree cities?

Nope; no spoilers ready yet. It's still QUITE a way out.

Absolutely. Also an AP to go along with it. I want to see some truly African inspired material. Serpent Skull doesn't really cover it.
You can almost bet if they release a southern Garund gazetteer it'll be when they release a southern Garund AP. That seems to be their modus operandi.

Just you saying that makes it easier for me to wait for it. Because knowing that you have plans, and that you are most interested in it yourself means good things. (No pressure...)

Still my favorite of the lands yet to be developed.
Vudra, Iblydos, Casmaron, Arcadia, Sarusan, all sound kind of interesting, but Southern Garund, all higher-fantasy and not-your-father's-Tolkien-fantasy, sounds really tempting.
It could be neat if some of the 'common' races are practically unknown in these distant lands, so that a dwarf or an elf showing up might be as 'weird' or 'cantina' to these natives as a gnoll PC or ghoran PC would be in Irrisen or the Lands of the Linnorm Kings.

As many others on here have said before me, I am VERY interested in a Southern Garund gazetteer. For all of the reasons mentioned, and by the way Mr. James Jacobs, Garund is one of my favorite areas in Paizo's campaign setting too! :)

I love hearing that. I love what parts of it I have explored as a GM. It is rich with lost empires, intrigue and mayhem.

Who here in the forums would want Paizo to publish a gazetteer on Southern Garund? Why or why not?
I would buy it, because I am a huge fan of non-European cultures.
Having said that, "Africa" is probably my least favorite, and I'd prefer just about any other "Distant Shore" before Garund. But, yes, I would still buy it.

I would love to see Paizo's Southern Garund treatment when they get around to it. What I'm especially hopeful for is a much broader treatment than fantasy Africa supplements often provide; RW Africa is just as much an admixture of different cultures, ethnicities, and geographic regions as anywhere (moreso, really, given its size) and has an incredible depth of history that is rarely explored and appreciated by most, IMO.
