Does anyone know how close you have to be to use handle animal to push a creature? Adjacent? In earshot? Visible? I'm finding no references.
I believe the assumption is communication range. Ie, earshot.

That is my assumption as well, but I've got a build in the works that leans on it to an extent, so it would be real nice to point to something and say "yes, I can use handle animal from safely over here"
I'd say earshot, assuming the particular trick didn't suggest otherwise.
(if you have this much agreement on ANYTHING critter related its a good sign )
I also think the range is only limited by hearing the order.
"Observing" the order, rather. Commands don't need to be spoken out loud; gestures, the message spell, telepathy... all would suffice.
