Hey all
I need a smallish village with 90% were creatures... The village is on the coast in a warm temperate forresty area...
The village is known in lycantrop groups as a safe haven
Many ppl in the village want the village to be kind of secret to avoid problems, but some want to bring the troubles to Hunan cities...
How many ppl should be in each profession?
Wich were type suits each profession best?
Any professions that's more of amust have,or no go?

How does this sound for proportions?
50% in food production (eg. hunting, fishing, farming)
10% in food processing (eg. miller, butcher, baker)
20% everyday craftsman (eg. carpenter/boatbuilder, tanner/leatherworker, weaver/ropemaker, blacksmith, potter)
1-2 Priests
1-2 Healers (eg. herbalist, midwife, barber-surgeon)
1 Chandler (general store, odds and ends)
1 Inn/tavern

OK, selkies (Were seals) make good fisher persons.
A pack of true were wolves may be the watch. A case of the gunfighter becomes the sheriff.
If you want to go with a cliche, Miss Kitty is a were tiger. A standard were Fox would make a good "Dance hall girl" because she can only reproduce by contagen, and then only with young girls.

Huh, where is this from if I can ask?
Shouldn't Miss Mitty be a were-Cougar?
I don't know the reference but this town could easily turn into a fun or a horrifying place very quickly...
Were-bears would make some awesome enforcers I think. Big and scary. Were-tigers are fantastic hunters, pounce and large size. I built a were-tiger Fiendish totem barbarian once and I wouldn't put the thing up against anyone.

Kinda relevant. There was a 3rd edition D&D module that involved a village of animals that had been turned into humans and halflings. Can't think of the name, and all my books are packed atm. I seem to recall a lot of smaller animals, maybe not suitables weres, but could be a useful point in the right direction.

Steve: totally not a lycanthrope at all, but has to pretend he loves eating raw meat and junk cuz if anyone finds out he's F!$*ED!
Does he know he isn't a werewolf? In The Name of the Rose, they found an old medical book with an entry about how to spot someone who was starting to act like a wolf.
