Crafting Under Fire?

Advice

What are some conceivable situations where a character would not have the option to take-10 on there Craft check?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Nagging spouse.

Ship carpentry while under sail.

Forging weapons of vast power in the living lava of an active volcano.

Working anywhere there are loud/obnoxious people who won't leave you alone.

Off the top of my head.

Craft while travelling in extreme weather (hot desert, freezing tundra, etc).

Silver Crusade

crafting while having a gerbil remov....oops!

How about a situation where your life or reputation depends on successfully crafting the item.

Would it be fair to not allow taking-10 in such a situation?

Rules say you can't take 10 when "in immediate danger or distracted". A GM would be fully within their rights to call threat of death "distracting".
