Character generation file is here https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3913186/Delvers%20of%20the%20Lost%20Coast.pdf
If you could email me your characters to the email address in the document that would be grand.
@Axolmotl - If you've got a TARDIS anything that practically makes you an honorary Brit so no problem there.
@Lowroller - I'd like to keep it to a maximum six, but online games do have problems with drop outs so if you would like to do up a character and join us on Saturday evening, there'll likely be a seat for you.

Aw. Allright then, time to make a character. I wanted to have a ratfolk necromancer or something like that but it looks like I'm gonna have to make a human if I want to be helping as much as it's possible. It's cool though, I already have some quirky character ideas for a seemingly normal human. Although... I like to complement other people's characters with mine so I might wait until two or more characters are posted - by the way, do we get to know each other's characters OOC before we start or not?

@axolmotl I thought that might get a little push back. As I put in the document it's to avoid the Star Wars Cantina effect and to make the demographics of the party match the demographics of the local area. If I were to do a Vault of the Drow campaign, it would be drow characters that get the biggest bonuses. I didn't want to do a campaign where all the player characters are things that most NPCs have never seen, certainly I've seen parties with dragonborn, genasi, tieflings, pixies and warforged and it's hard to keep that sense of the party belonging to a community. The idea came from old Shadowrun where if you wanted to play a Troll or Elf you had to accept a hit on skills and/or stats.
Though I'm not saying this of everyone who choses exotic characters, a lot of times it is to squeeze that last point of min/maxing. This way, if you want to play an exotic character for the flavour that's completely allowed, you just have a slightly weaker character in the ability scores. really, I hope that ability scores don't matter too much in this campaign, it's what you do with your character that matters more.

Yes, you should know each other before you start, Willing to hear about other ideas, but there's lots of monuments and old ruins in the area and you've formed a group to search for them. The character with the most knowledge of Thassilon can have found a lead on one such dungeon, underneath a tower on the edge of the Devil's Platter just outside Sandpoint. But you need to be quick, there's already another group of adventurers in town, possibly seeking the same hidden treasures.

Hmm... I'm thinking about making a summoner from a wealthy family with a bodyguard-like eidolon who seeks fame to be recognized as the worthiest heir from all of his brothers. Or something like that. Is this okay for you guys? Should I make something else?
Sounds good to me. Some of the more traditional Chelish in town might not like the idea of a summoner in town, sounds too much like the nobles back in Cheliax but most wouldn't mind too much and coming from a rich family always helps.
The five noble families collectively own most of Sandpoint through their shareholdings in the Sandpoint Mercantile Consortium, the Deverin, Foxglove, Scarnetti, Valdemar and Kaijitsu families. If your character is on good terms with the rest of the family you might consider taking the Rich Parents trait (APG p.330) which increases your starting money to 900gp.
Oh, by the way, I missed out Varisia, Birthplace of Legends from the books allowed list, sorry about that.

I have a pretty simple backstory. Farmboy running away to seek adventure rather then staying and becomming a farmer. Now it's 12 years later and he's a well travelled ranger.
Nothing wrong with keeping the back story simple. Hopefully the future will get much more complicated.

The pretty noticable score discrepancy can and will show up in game, and with my luck, I tend to have to cheese out builds anyways. That on top of choosing a race to make my doodles match the mechanics, playing a tiefling and practically being a commoner would mean I'd have to optimize myself simply to stay alive. Plus, don't a lot of people powergame with humans?
While I was planning on playing a human amyways, I find the limits a bit superficial and enjoy everyone being on equal footing, regardless of what they play. I mean, adventurers are weird people. It's usually that 10% "other" that finds themselves out slaying dragons because they feel out of place, or whatever reason they may have. It's not often that one wakes up and decides putting yourself in harm's way with a bunch of strangers sounds like a fun career, anyways.
In any case, I guess I'll just go human fighter and throw daggers that way, provided I don't duck out because RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION. Ahem, I'll likely suck it up and ignore this furious burning in my stomach, because dangit, I need something to do, and I was looking forward to this.
I'll expand my character idea in a bit. I'm on a phone. And just woke up. I'm particularly moody in the mornings. It'll pass.
(I believe I've been blocked by someone in here. I was just trying to add everyone, since we'll be using Skype. ._. )

I'm 99% done with my characters, if you guys wanna take a look, check these:
http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=530292
(Summoner)
http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=530343
(Eidolon)
Basically, a rich noble youngster with idealistic ambitions, good-hearted naivity and an "ancestral bodyguard".
Also, Axolmotl, I like those drawings, they're cute :3 Was I the one who you couldn't add? Try now, might've been a setting I f+!#ed up. (skype: QGloaf)

This is my char http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=530843
I made a few changes to equipment compared to the mail i sent to Andy. Silk rope and a grappling arrow instead of hemp rope, hooded lantern and oil instead of torches.
Also i added the fav class bonus hp.
So far it looks like we have two fighters, a ranger and a summoner. The martial part is definitly well covered :)

Phew, I just finished doing my character sheet.
Please take a skim, and let me know if there is anything I missed, or completed wrong.
Nibs the gnome:
http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=530900
Bungles the Pterosaur:
http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=530916
Character motivation you won't find on there.
A summary!
Her childhood friend suddenly disappeared one day. Nibs is looking for him, unsure if he has simply felt the call to adventure, or some ill fate has befallen him.
I'll send more details to the DM.

Adopted doesn't work like that. It means you can pick a race trait not a racial trait. The +2 to any stat is a racial trait and is tied to the physical race.
Race traits are different, they are normal traits you can chose at char creation if you are of a specific race. The limitation is usually due to culture/upbringing.
You also dont get darkvision, only low light vision. Darkvision = no light needed. Low light vision = you see ok with weaker light.
Sorc have a d6 hitpoints so with your lack of con bonus that will leave you with 6hp at first level since you use fav class bonus for skill.
Sorc dont get familiars, this was changed from DnD 3.5 to pathfinder
I like your characters personality, mischievous gnomes are fun when they are not evil. If you want to bring Bungles i dont mind

oldswifty |
LowRoller!
Thanks for the heads up! I will change my Hit die to a D6, and ammend my adopted trait so that it is legit. Do you know of any sites which list the traits I can choose from for this?
As a gnome, I can choose to sacrifice Low Light Vision and the Keen Senses racial perk for Darkvision as an alternate racial trait.
In terms of the Pterosaur, as I've take the Arcane Bloodline, the bloodline power at first level is Arcane Bond, which can bond you to either an item or a familiar, much like a Wizard!
PS - Also, sorry for any confusion, but Bungles has now become Gumbles, as I prefer the name :)

oldswifty |
Thanks very much!
My new traits are:
Eleven reflexes, (essentially the same as reactionary, except that since it's through adopted, story-wise, it's an effect of being raised by half elves)
Desperate focus (+2 concentration checks)
Phew! Fingers crossed my character sheet is sorted now! Thanks for the help.

The invite to the Roll20 campaign is https://app.roll20.net/join/84113/mu4vog
At the moment I've got character sheets for:
Oldswifty: Nibs and Gumbles
LowRoller: Aeryn
Reshar: Vincent
Qgloaf: Genrith and Duaran
We've had a group discussion and I'm raising the bar up to 20 points builds for everyone.

is there still room for another?
We had four players on last night and DM Andy allows for up to six. We had one no-show as well but at least one spot is available.
I guess TV-party has first dibs on the open spot atm.
We didn't do a lot in game. It took some time to figure out roll20 and then we killed some goblins. We used up a lot of natural 1's and now we're back in sandpoint to rest. There's no healer in the party so we're on the hunt for a low charge wand of CLW.

Hey guys!
I have impending visitors this saturday, who I'm kind of obligated to entertain, and I'm not going to be able to make the 8.00 start. I'm really sorry about this.
Are we able to reschedule the session to Friday or Sunday? If not, does someone else want to step in so you still have a full party? Though if they do, it's not fair for me to ask them to step out again for the following sessions.
What does everybody think?

oldswifty |
Lowroller - yeah, I saw the points thing, thanks! I've bumped my charisma back up, got myself another spell to cast per day. It's all good!
You guys will just have to deal with me bugging you all as to what happened after the sesh, then. Though it would be quite cool to have like an Adventurer's journal thread on the roll20 site, where we summarise each session, keeping a record of our travels.
So I guess Nibs ate some bad Gnome food or something and got sick.

![]() |
Hi there, sorry I haven't responded sooner, can't change the scheduling as I'm packed in quite tightly this week. But it's okay to skip a session.
I've managed to learn enough about Roll20 to import a map, work the turn tracker and make proper round tokens so Saturday's session should go a lot smoother.
An Adventurer's Journal sounds really good - any volunteers for that job?
By the way, TV Party's got a new job and so can't make the Saturday timeslot anymore so we're still in need of a healing type.
