So I'm working on making a Dwarven Inquisitor of Gorum who weilds a greatsword and I'm trying to plan for the future. My current focus is on his weapon.
After some questioning and such I have come to realize that Bane and Furious will not stack based off this informative post by James Jacobs.
Now my question is how either of these abilities would work with Courageous. My understanding is that they both increase the enhancement bonus of the weapon under certian circumstances and thusly I infer that they would increase the Morale increase Courageous gives when in one of these specific situations.
Would this assumption be correct?

The problem with James Jacobs response on that, is that it's the named bonuses that are given. However, there is none. There is a FLAT +2 bonus, TO an enhancement bonus. The first part of that statement is the actual bonus, which is the part that you check for that needs to be stacked. The second part is saying to what part, in this case the enhancement bonus.
Also, dodge is not the only thing that stacks, circumstance bonuses stack, except if from similar sources, as do racial bonuses. He forgot those two.
Bonuses are numerical values that are added to checks and statistical scores. Most bonuses have a type, and as a general rule, bonuses of the same type are not cumulative (do not “stack”)—only the greater bonus granted applies.
The important aspect of bonus types is that two bonuses of the same type don't generally stack. With the exception of dodge bonuses, most circumstance bonuses, and racial bonuses, only the better bonus of a given type works. Bonuses without a type always stack, unless they are from the same source.
The source of furious is different then bane. Also, they both increase, as a flat bonus the enhancement bonus. It was also ruled, or has a ruling that a weapon can be a +5 furious, and end up as a +7, same with bane. Inquisitors even have greater bane, which makes the bonus +4, making their +5 weapon a +9.

I just realized I linked to the wrong post. Here is the correct link
And I garnered the following from what he said, these bonuses both modify the original (Normal) enhancement bonus and thusly don't stack because once one is applied to it, it becomes a modified enhancement bonus.
And a post to the ruling on a +5 Furious/Bane weapon being capable of hitting +7 would be nice.

I agree...they don't stack.
Bane:
"...the weapon's enhancement bonus is +2 better than its actual bonus."
Furious:
"...the weapon's enhancement bonus is +2 better than normal."
They both increase the normal/actual enhancement bonus by 2. So a +1 furious bane weapon wielded while raging is a +3 weapon whether the target is the bane or not. The only thing gained by bane is the +2d6 extra damage. Thus bane does not give you anything more in the context of Courageous.

Honestly I was really trying to figure out whether the +2 from Bane would improve the Morale increase that Courageous gives when facing an opponent that your Bane activates against as it does make the weapon act at a higher Enhancement bonus.
I would say that Bane would not impact the Courageous property. Bane says "against a designated foe, the weapon's enhancement bonus is +2 better than its actual bonus". So it doesn't actually make it a +whatever weapon, it just gets to act that way against whatever its specialty is. For all other purposes (like the Courageous property), the weapon still retains its original enhancement bonus.
