Question about Off-Hand Fighting and Two Weapon Fighting Feats

Rules Questions

I was curious if a character can get Two Weapon Fighting Feats, but use one weapon? Not two handed fighting, but taking a one handed weapon and switching from primary hand to off hand to gain multiple attacks.

Let say I have a fighter with two weapon fighting feats and the off handed weapons gets sundered or disarmed. Can I use up all my full attack actions with my primary hand and then switch my weapon to my off hand to continue gaining extra attacks per round?

Grand Lodge

No.

There was an Alpha playtest feat called Weapon Swap that allowed that.

It no longer exists.

You could two hand your Longsword, and make off-hand attacks with unarmed strikes, or any other non-hand weapon.

Longsword = main weapon
Gauntlet (armed strike) = off-hand

:)

Grand Lodge

If you want two weapon fight with one weapon, then you need a double weapon.

As SKR clarified recently, you have to declare what weapon you're using as main-hand and what weapon you're using as off-hand when you declare your full-attack. The only way to two-weapon fight with a single weapon is through Monk's Flurry of Blows.

Can you not use an Unarmed Strike as the offhand weapon?

If you have the feet improved unarmed strike then your unarmed attacks are weapons.

Liberty's Edge

Cool, just checking that my Half Orc Druid was okay using Sickle and Fist :)

Grand Lodge

You don't actually need the Improved Unarmed Strike feat to make an unarmed strike.

You provoke, and deal nonlethal, but you can throw that unarmed strike in there as an off-hand attack if you like.

Thank you all for replying. I do appreciate the feedback.
