Are combat maneuver rolls adjusted by cover when using a reach weapon?

Rules Questions

Example ...

Using a glaive to trip while a party member is in between you and the target. Rules say that reach weapons opperate like range weapons in regard to cover but CM rolls are not affected by AC.

Same question would apply to an Archer.

yes. If you have a penalty to hit then you have a penalty to your CMB.

Combat Maneuver Defense: "A creature can also add any circumstance, deflection, dodge, insight, luck, morale, profane, and sacred bonuses to AC to its CMD."

Cover is either untyped, or a "cover" bonus to AC. It's not listed as an eligible bonus to CMD, so it's not.

It's certainly possible that this is not intended. Many people treat cover as an attack penalty instead of an AC bonus, if it was written that way then cover would apply to CMB.
