Hi,
I live in the US & Canada eastern time zone. I've wanted to play pathfinder for a while and as much as I'd prefer in person games, the option is not available. So right now I'm looking for a group of players that would welcome a new player to their pathfinder skype campaign. I have played two sessions of a cancelled campaign and I spend hours reading up on the rules and information available via www.d20pfsrd.com
I wont be much of a burden in terms of learning the game. I've never used skype for gaming so that honestly will be the hard part for me to adapt to. If anyone thinks their group would be open to me joining please reply.
Lastly, I should mention that I wont play an evil character. I don't have enough practice with stepping outside of myself yet. Also, I am not interested in any campaigns that try to use pathfinder rules to imitate some completely different fantasy (like a Pathfinder game that is really just Lord of the Rings or MTG). Original ideas are great and so are adventure paths.
Thanks to all readers and responders

I am one of those players who often GMs but has never actually played Pathfinder....
I am GMT but I play a Traveller game with UK/US/Canada players so with careful timing it can work.
The following tools are worth a look for online games (all free).
I direct you to a game I used to play in (I still play in its sequel).
Search for the game on Obsidian Portal (a brilliant campaign record site if you're not aware of it). Search for a game called 'Mustered Out on Regina' (it was a Traveller Game).
Then click on the wiki page for that game and Nick, the GM, lists the free programmes and tools he used, and how to download them.
It works for Pathfinder too-Gametable is a good free programme: just import jpegs of maps etc for battlemats, or build them from simple components, create POGs (counters) and off you go. It has a built in dice roller and a word chat function if you want it.
We still play the game's sequel 'Mustered out on Mertactor' and my Pathfinder game 'Journey to the East' (ie Jade Regent) using the same tools. There are fancier programmes out there but these work fine.
We use Skype as a voice supplement for gametable.
On Obsidian Portal I am 'swampedbybunnies'.

I can look into these resources but until I find a game I'm stuck without a use. I realize that I forgot to post my availability. My time zone is in the OP so I just need to offer up my schedule. I am most awake at night time. Thursday and Friday and Sunday are my days off from work. I work nights so early morning is a bad time for me except maybe on Friday morning. Also I agree with those who say PBP is too slow. I've roleplayed on other PBPs and I don't want to do that again for any reason. For those here who mention they are looking for a game feel free to join any games with me as long as the welcoming party agrees. And Badpixie, it seemed as if you might be offering to GM as long as you could fit it in... Let me know what you meant. Thnx guys.
