Goedendag!

Conversions

Hey everyone! Goedendag!

Looking for the weapon stats for a goedendag! Has it ever been converted?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Good Day,
-K

Which version do you mean? The word has been used to describe spiked sticks, flails, morningstars and morningstars with a spike on top.

The version of a giant club with large steel spikes.

The type found in this you tube video.

While the weapons aren't identical historically, for game stat purposes, I'd say a godendag is identical to a morningstar.

That sounds fair, maybe a large morning star (1d10). It was a 5 foot club with large spikes used to take out a knights horse, then wreck the knight. It is for a barbarian, want it more for a concept character build.

Get an Earthbreaker and refluff it, then.

Sweet thanks!

Does adding the piercing quality alter the type from martial to exotic or anything else? The weapon true to history was made for peasants to use.

I'd think it would be Simple, actually.

It's a club. You can't get much simpler than that without biting your opponents.

Club made from a giant mandible. Have the best of both worlds!

I learned something new today. I've always thought that a goedendag was exactly the same thing as a morningstar, and both were a spiked ball on a chain. According to Wikipedia, neither has a chain, and one of them doesn't generally have spikes.

Still no Caber stats though.

One more backer for "Earthbreaker P & S".
