Hey guys i'm about to make a rouge for a game, I was looking at the knife master and I liked the Idea of having hidden blades that I would quick draw to do my sneak attacks but I cant give up my trap finding skills because i'm going to be my party's trap detector. The Dm is being a bit strict with the class roster so I am stuck to doing a rouge not a ninja, we will be level 3 and i was thinking about duel wielding. the only real downside I see to not specifically doing the knife master is I don't get the d8s for the sneak attacks but other than that I have a feeling the concept will still work. Main thing I am aiming to do is be able to deal as many sneak attacks as I possibly can in the shortest amount of time possible. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated. Thanks :)

If your primary concern is the d8's on sneak attack how about being a catfolk from the advanced race guide? You could take the cats claws ability (giving you 2 claws) and take the rogue talent 'vicious claws'. You could also take the feat Catfolk exemplar to enhance your claws. For the cost of a feat and a talent you have 2 natural weapons that attack at full bab, do d6 damage and d8 sneak attack dice.

Don't worry about the traps.
Anyone can be trap detector, its just a perception roll.
Its the trap disarming that might be an issue... and even then, just the magic traps, as anyone can disarm the non-magical ones with the appropriate skill roll.
Once you know there's a trap, there are usually many ways to get around/avoid/bypass them that don't require a rogue with the Trapfinding ability.
I'd say just don't worrying about it (and suggest your wizardly types learn erase or dispel magic or animate object et al if they care that much =) )

I do like the catfolk thing, but unfortunately as I was saying (didn't elaborate enough) I am Limited to Human Dwarf and half elf.....all part of the story, you know.
and ya, my big concern is the magic traps, I don't know if I can get our wizard to prepare in place of myself.
I might still do the knife master, just looking for other possible solutions because i'm not 100% sure he will ok it (first pathfinder game he is running, converting the setting from a 2nd edition game he did once) so he might turn it down just to keep things simple.
