So my sister is playing a cleric but she isn't feeling much more than a band aid. This is the stuff she can't change:
Level 6 Human Cleric
Sun and Healing domains (Sarenrae)
Stats:
Str 14
Dex 10
Con 13
Int 18
Wis 18
Cha 18
She kind of wanted to do a battle cleric but with a 14 str I'm not sure how viable that is.
Any suggestions?

Doesnt have to have high str to be a good battle cleric. And with three 18's, if she wanted to be a battle cleric, why not put one of those 18's in Str?
Seems kinda strange, unless she wants to rely on her god for awesome prowess in battle.
If that is the case, then she should load up on Divine Power for a 1st level spell.
But really, you cant have it all. Awesome spell power and high dc's (18 wis), Awesome channeling and turning (18 cha), and be a skill junkie (18 int)?
Wow, that is quite a cleric.
Low Con with Low dex with medium armor should keep her out of the thick of melee combat for self preservation reasons.
So let her do what her stat choices say very loudly... "I am a divine spell powered bad ass... screw the mace!"
By her stat choices, I dont think battle cleric is the right idea for her.
So change those stats! :D

She can't change stats, but being a good caster would be nice too she's just having issues doing damage. She mostly uses sound burst and searing light. There's got to be better spells and feats just not sure what off my head. I know 3.5 had some sweet channel feats, but not sure if those transferred over.

other then what you said she's a very caster cleric. what kind of feats she using? and yes there are channel feats but it depends on what kind of cleric your shooting for. for me I'm doing the whole channel neg energy using gorum (and get a shiny greatsword to play with)and picking up the versital channeling feat which lets me channel positive energy also but with a cleric channel-2 (yes I like to hurt things more then healing shush).

Buffing and summoning monsters are options which can contribute to combat.
As is she has the stats to be a social, knowledge, and casting power house. There is always going to be some aspect of the game your stats fall short on. So summon something, have it smash face, and suck up damage she doesn't have to waste healing spells on ;)

You....you just blew my mind into oblivion in a good way. that sounds even better.

Summoning is a solid idea! It doesn't even need feat investment to be effective. Just summon a few creatures, then cast bless.
Possible Changes:
If there aren't a lot of undead in the campaign then the dm might be ok with her taking the Light subdomain of the Sun domain. This'd give her a 20ft radius AoE blind ability 7 times per day. Assuming she can call a quick warning to her allies for them to cover their eyes while she explodes in light, it'd be a great battlefield control ability.
(On a semi-related note, I tend to prefer the Restoration subdomain of the Healing domain too, tending to get more use out of Restorative Touch than Rebuke Death)
Feats:
Selective Channel is always useful, as is Quick Channel to be able to channel and cast a spell in a single round.
If any others in your party use shields Channeled Shield Wall is a nice support feat.
If set on melee attacking, Channel Smite and Guided Hand will let her use her wisdom to hit with her scimitar.
A nice option to go with this is to aim for the Divine Scion prestige class. It doesn't hurt your spellcasting levels (though it sadly doesn't improve your channel energy ability like normal cleric levels would). And she'd need to take Iron Will and Weapon Focus (Scimitar) as her other two feats before level 6.
Still, going 4 levels into it might be worth it for your spells dealing extra damage to some creatures (probably evil ones) and getting to choose a spell-like ability to have 1 or 3 times per day. Keep in mind that she wouldn't have to choose the Sun or Healing domain specialization powers. My personal favourite would probably be going for Luck to get divine favour 3/day and +2 on reflex saves. If your game goes to level 11 she could then take Quicken Spell-Like Ability as her feat to be able to cast those divine favours as a swift action.
It'd also let her take Weapon Specialization in scimitar for another +2 damage. Again though, might not be ideal considering her physical stats, and it hurts her channels. (I tend to allow taking a feat similar to boon companion to give +2d6 to channels for multiclassing purposes, it's firmly in the homebrew rules though)
Combining this option with guided hand could work quite well, but would easily eat up all of her feats.
If going that route, then obviously don't buy strength boosting belts, focus more on con or dex for defense and prioritise wisdom for all of the associated benefits.
Spells I really like for affecting combat in meaningful ways: ENCHANTMENT SPELLS!!!
Suits her high wisdom score (high DCs), and her high Charisma (role-playing wise)
Murderous Command at level 1, make the enemy do your damage for you.
Hold Person at level 2, one of the more satisfying ways of affecting battles with humanoids.
As a general rule, target the enemy in the heaviest armour! They are usually the most weak-willed. =D
Doesn't work on undead, but she has her channels for those!
Also, spiritual weapons! I'm not sure about this, but if there isn't a limit to the number of weapons you can have out at once, she can fill the air with damaging spectral weapon swings! They also work off your wisdom score, so no need for high physical stats.
Another trick I particularly enjoy is creating or somehow acquiring a custom magic item to cast spectral hand a couple of times per day. Lets you deliver touch range spells at up to 130ft range for 3 minutes per use, handy for dishing out the buffs/cures/inflicts in combat.
With that dex score I'd be wary of using ranged touch attack spells like searing light, it's just too heart-wrenching when they miss, but there is one other decent damaging spell that involves taking a feat to get, and your dm might not be happy with, but should be fine to do. Taking the feat Experimental Spellcaster lets you choose the effect word Discordant Note as a 2nd level cleric wordspell. Up to 5d4 (1d4 per level) sonic damage, cast as either a 20ft line, 10ft cone or 10ft burst. With staggering on a failed save. The Intensify Spell metamagic feat would let you have a 3rd level spell with up to 10d4 sonic damage. The main reason I'm mentioning it is that if you go for the Divine Scion approach you end up adding +10 to the damage versus evil (or other) creatures. Which is fairly nice for cleric spells. It's almost like a sonic fireball... I keep telling myself...
Good god I talk too much!

Augment Summoning (and Sacred Summons, if her aura's right) will make her a good summoner. Spell Focus: Evocation or Enchantment would also help her be an offensive caster. If she wanted to go battle cleric, then one of those 18s should have been in STR or DEX, but the Guided enchantment exists if she really wants to battle it up.
