Am I the only person that reads an item, and mentally votes it down to violating one of Shawn's rules?
I will even admit to voting for an item due to Rule 27.
Speaking as a Sean:
You may not realize how annoying/insulting it is for people to spell our name wrong (Shawn, Shaun) especially when the correct spelling is right in front of your face.Might not bug Shawns and Shauns as much, but it drives us Seans up the wall.

I saw a "this item is prized by" and immediately face-palmed.
I've seen a number of entries that have made me want to facepalm. Mostly the ones trying to be several of Clark's old friends at once. I'd be more forgiving of the "this item is prized by" line if they didn't seem to also fall into a number of other traps as well.
I'm enjoying watching everyone go through the sorting process for the item submissions this year. The fact that so many items show up as "Clark's old friends" lends credence to his assertion during the RPG Superstar panel discussion about how we can tell who's done their homework and who hasn't. That's why Sean went to such great lengths to share all his insight with the "auto-reject" advice. If people take the time to really read and apply that advice, they're so much ahead of the game compared to other competitors.

There is a "vote for neither" option in the center, a little offset to the bottom.
I tend to only use it if both are terrible. If both break the rules, I'll still tend to vote for one if it is really cool or neat.
I've voted for a few SIAC because the item or activation method was neat.
