We're coming up on it....

I wonder if there will be anything special attached to the 20000th PFS event?

TPK?

If you want a TPK for #20,000, make sure Kyle Baird runs something high. He's a pushover at the lower levels. :P

Wait, what? I'm still using 4-digit event numbers...

Me, too, but then I don't like to create a new event for each gameday (I'd be creating 2 or more events a month). It's easier to keep an ongoing event ID for recurring gamedays.

i create 2-8 events a month depending on how much I GM

I create a new one for each event. I tried doing one event for all gamedays, but it got much too complicated.

Grand Lodge 4/5

I have been using the same event number for two years. we run two tables at my house each week and it would be crazy to make a new event each time. Conventions and events outside the house get their own event #.

Silver Crusade 4/5

Yeah, I create a new one whenever I run, unless the organizer is doing the reporting for me.

We're moving fast around here! I ran event # 11,111 back in March or April of this year. We've almost doubled the number of events ever played in PFS history in less than a year.

Good stuff!

2 people marked this as a favorite.

I will try to tpk or do something special for the event. It will be in Sierra Vista AZ :P

Shadow Lodge 5/5

I'll run a 20-person table for the special occasion.

Scarab Sages 4/5

Gotta come to Arizona :D

That 5 tables worth of pre-season-4. Just quintuple the monsters, too.

No need to add monsters. I'll do just fine with what's written and 20 players. >:)

The Exchange 4/5

I just add sessions to my ongoing events. I have "Wednesday PFS, Game Days, Home Group, and Rise of the runelords".

I'll probably make a new event every 20 sessions or so, just so they don't get too crazy to sift through.

For the Same Game day a the same location I keep one Event, I only make new events if we play at a different location.

Makes it much easier for out GMs to remember the numbers.

Well I just GM'd a level of Thornkeep for #20012, so someone got 20k!

I create an event for every game session I run also.

For those that use one event number for reoccurring game days, how do players know what's being played at the next game day or the one after that? The set-up right now doesn't allow for that if you're using the same event all the time. Searching on Paizo, they'd see an event with a bunch of days and a bunch of scenarios...

Silver Crusade 4/5

None of the groups I've used have really focused on the Paizo site for advertising. They may have an entry there to let people know there's game days happening, but then they'll have session sign ups with the specific sessions on another site, such as Warhorn.

Each slot is a new day.

Change the scenarios after the last day(Slot) is finished.
Explain in your blurb that it's a reoccuring event and the scenarios will change every time, and to ensure you're getting the most accurate info go to (Website blah blah).

I uncheck scenarios after reporting, and have a list of upcoming game days and scheduled games.

Of course, given that I am going to be running an ongoing AP, Shattered Star, instead of my normally scheduled PFS games, now, that will be changing. (Home game style, with PFS Chronicles as the game allows)

Of course, one of my current players, who also GMs, may wind up taking up the PFS slack, and I don't know yet if I will be doing the organizing, or if he will do it himself.
