Okay, I'm not gonna lie, this question might very well 'scream' of cheese, but in my pursuit of making a 'crazy alchemist' who experiments on his own body, I was wondering if this was remotely possible...
If you choose 'ratfolk' as the subtype for your 'racial heritage' feat, does this mean you qualify to use a ratfolk tailblade?
For anyone who is not familiar with the 'ratfolk tailbade', here is what it does...
Tailblade- A ratfolk wielding a tailblade can make a tail attack, adding its Strength modifier to the tailblade's damage. It takes a full-round action to strap on or remove a tailblade. The wearer can loosely attach the tailblade (without strapping it securely in place) as a move action, but using a loosely attached tailblade gives the wielder a –4 penalty on all attack rolls made with the weapon, and other creatures get a +4 bonus on disarm combat maneuver checks to disarm the tailblade.
Ratfolk are considered proficient with such attacks and can apply feats or effects appropriate to natural attacks to tail attacks made with a tailblade. If used as part of a full attack action, attacks with a tailblade are considered secondary attacks.
thanks again, and as always, all help is appreciated.

Duskblade, are you trying to imply a human alchemist with no tail can use a weapon that well is for tails? I'm not familiar with the Alchemist base class but if there is a discovery that grows you a tail and you have proficiency in the Ratfolk tailblade then there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to use it.

Ask your DM about a discovery that would give you a tail and taking extra discovery as your first level feet. While the Vestigial Arm and Tentacle discovery does not allow for extra attacks it would seem like a special circumstance that could be explained with a sufficient back story. Just as long as this isn't for PFS, Good luck with that Duskblade!

meh, to be honest, I'm trying to figure out if Two-weapon fighting unarmed striking alchemist is a good idea...or if I can somehow wrack up enough natural attacks with an alchemist instead.
I mean, I could always 'combine' the two of them together (though I imagine a Dev might wanna shot me at that point) lol

Also, I was curious: would the tailblade attack be affected by the amulet of mighty fists?
While I think it's silly the description of the tailblade sounds as if it could work.
