Can I play a Goblin Inquisitor?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

So, my group is getting into Pathfinder and we are all looking for different and unique characters to play. We have the core books and we love the We be Goblins supplement.. so, Can I play a Goblin Inquisitor?

Is that allowed for the Goblin race?

Thanks for any help for this newbie :)

Classes are no longer restricted by race. That was a 2nd Ed feature, and hasn't been an issue since D&D 3.0

In other words, in Pathfinder, any race can play any class they want. They might not be well suited to it, depending on stats, but they can do it if they want.

Inquisitors are Wisdom based classes, and as they have no penalty to Wis, Goblins work as well as Inquisitors as any other race without a Wis bonus.

if your DM allow goblins as a PC race then a goblin inquisitor should not be a problem.

I see no reason why not!

See if you can get your hands on the Goblins of Golarion supplement. In it there are 4 goblin deities: Hadregash, Venkelvore, Zarongel, and Zogmut.

Could be some serious fun there... I've been eying an Inquisitor of Zarongel myself. :)

Thanks!

The answer you're looking for is, "it's up to your GM." The written rules of the game allow it, so whether you can or not depends on your GM. He or she is free to ban goblins, inquisitors, goblin inquisitors, any race that isn't medium, character's that don't use arcane magic or wield a starknife, or any other thing that tickles his or her fancy. At that point you're free to go along with it or choose to not play that game.

if your GM allows it, sure.

I can only imagine the hilarity that will ensue.

To be honest, I think that the only classes that are any kind of off limits to a goblin are Magus and Wizard, and that's only because the rest of their tribe would kill them for learning to read, you could still play one just fine.

Probably alchemist too, though the We Be Goblins module has a pre-gen alchemist PC (formula book and all).

info about the module:
Not sure how they rationalized this as the game starts after the goblins run another goblin out of town for writing, so it's not even like they're progressive goblins or anything.

The never-ending crusade to rid Golarion of dogs and horses.

They must be purged!

** spoiler omitted **

Maybe its a picture book, like "Alchemy for Kids" or something.

All the pages are blank. He just presses herbs and flowers in it for use as ingredients. ;)

I think scratch n sniff alchemy was suggested. Also goblins are fine with pictures just no words.
