Should mercy ability at 3rd work like paladin mercy or like remove disease/remove curse spells requiring caster level checks to be successful? DM saying per spells w/faster level checks, feels like it nerfs ability...
Any thoughts?
It has a limited number of targets that can be affected (max two targets for one condition). Paladins remove all conditions they have the mercy for. However, removing poison, or disease does not require a caster level check. They can't remove curses.
Also, you double posted.
Making the cleric make a CL check is a nerf.

Merciful Healing (Su): "When the merciful healer channels energy she can remove the chosen condition from one living creature that she heals within her channel energy burst."
It doesn't mention a CL check, or say anything about functioning like a spell.
