Or try asking the clerks at your local hobby shop if they know anybody. Mine are always telling me about players looking for a group, but I have 2 full groups right now.
Local hobby store should have a bulletin board that may or may not be up to date.
Also check online at meetups.com (also a great way to meet other folks who might share your other interests[if you have any])
