How to retain Bucker AC bonus while attacking with Offhand

Rules Questions

Is there a feat/class-feature that allows one to retain the Buckler AC bonus while using your offhand to attack?

Liberty's Edge

I am not aware of any feat or ability which allows this, but if you use a heavy steel shield there is an option which might meet your need.

If you use your heavy steel shield as your primary weapon (with a light weapon in offhand obviously) and take Improved Shield Bash then you take standard two-weapon fighting penalties and retain your shield bonus to AC.

PS - If you go this route, you might also want to plan for Shield Master in your build.

EDIT: Referenced the wrong feat. I should always double check anything before 8 am...

Sczarni

Or just use a Light Shield as they are considered Light Weapons for the purposes of TWF.

It is a 19th level ability of the thunderstriker. Yes, that ability is just that powerful.

Sczarni

There is also Thunder and Fang combat feat but that includes specific weapons, which are earthbreaker and klar.

Considering the whole "free hand", can you have a buckler and wield a one-handed weapon - with 2 hands and still have a free hand outside your initiative?
