If a Gunslinger gives a gun to a non-gunslinger in PFS, can he keep it?
No, because you cannot trade items between players in PFS. The gun returns to its original owner at the end of the scenario. Also keep in mind that you need at least 9 fame and the Gunsmithing feat to buy firearms, aside from the initial gun you have as starting Gunslinger.
Can you be a worshiper of any god in PFS?
You may worship any deity from the core rulebook, Inner Sea World Guide, Gods and Magic, or any additional resource which you own. Your alignment must be within one step of your deity's (even for non-clerics).

No. You cannot permanently exchange items between characters. Anything on your character sheet must have been paid for from your chronicle funds.
Can you be a worshiper of any god in PFS?
Yes, but your character cannot be of an evil alignment. If you want to be a cleric of an evil god, you have to be neutral.

Paizo earns major props from me for that.
In WotC's it isn't legal to worship any Evil deity, have an Evil alignment, nor have any Evil based powers or equipment... based on the last release I have access to...
Any ways back on topic: a Paladin, Ranger, or Bard is the general consensus correct?

I was talking about PFS, and after reading your post again, I realize that I completely misunderstood what you were saying. :)

So, a Cleric or Inquisitor of Cixyron cannot use his god's favored weapon, the musket?
Not unless he takes the gunsmithing feat, and he cannot buy it until he has sufficient fame. (Or dips 1 level in gunslinger to take it as his starting gun.)
Are there any disallowed Domains or Subdomains?
All core domains are legal, with some minor changes:
Clerics with the Nobility domain get the Persuasive feat at 8th level instead of the Leadership feat. Clerics with the Rune domain receive Spell Focus at 1st level instead of Scribe Scroll.
Can you cast atonement to become evil?
If you do so, your character is removed from play, as he is no longer a legal Society character.
So, folks, in your opinions, if you really think rogues are useless for PFS play, what would fix them?
I don't really see how rogues are useless in Society. I GM Society regularly for a team with 2 rogues. When they flank things, things die, and thanks to good acrobatics, they always flank things.

Full BAB.
Seriously, though, what would fix them would be for the principles of module design to swing more in favor of investigation, stealth, and reconnaissance instead of rewarding people who just want to smash doors down and Intimidate everything.

Need to ask you SO for some more details.
Simple spells or no spells?
I think I saw that she said no animal companion.
Likes archer.
Wants something out of combat. I approve, everyone needs some out of combat capability to not get bored. Especially in PFS where you don't know with what you might be sitting at the table. Any particular thing she wants for out of combat skills or just something?
Sounds like archer ranger to me. Look through the archtypes. Some of them give up spells or animal companions for other abilities like trap finding. Rangers are usually pretty rules simple to run. But can get very RP heavy if you want to really get into hunting a particular foe or saving nature.
Ranger give tracking and have good skill points. Especially if you don't dump intelligence. If going to cast spells later, will want some wisdom. So you can put points into the wisdom skills like perception and sense motive. Sense motive allows you to contribute in conversations even if you are not the party face. "I think he is lying to you."
The ranger spells are small in number and not gained for several levels. So she should be more comfortable with the character and learning a few spells is not difficult. Most rangers that I know end up almost always sticking with the same spells anyway.

unless you actually put effort into it most rogues do very little damage in pathfinder and generally would feel a little useless, I honestly like my PFS rogues (one at 12 and one at 3), however for some reason I seem to find the more trap heavy scenarios (one of which had 5 traps), most traps are generally just alarm spells or mundane substitutes (basically alerts the opponents so they can prebuff, and then forces you to fight slightly harder battles).
Having trapfinding is rarely essential to the success of the mission but having a good trapfinder and disabler can frequently be the difference between a successful mission and an effortless mission.
I personally like rogues because they favor an aggressive playstyle in combat with thier high damage for flanking, plenty of skills for out of combat utility, I havent found another class that can replace the feel of a decently built rogue, however I do recommend some level of system mastery to play one as unless you have some level of optimisation you will get killed being aggressive (which you need to be to get your full damage off).
Just remember a rogue is a frontline melee combatant if you want to melee (as you need to full attack as much as possible).
