Distribution seems pretty even. A standard case should contain 128 miniatures:

32 medium uncommons
12 medium rares
24 large uncommons
8 large raresNo very rares this set. There is a possibility Highlady Athroxis and Runelord Karzoug are slightly rarer than the rest of the rares (1 per case rather than 1.1 per case) but we'll need a lot more reports to verify.
Enlight_Bystand - You have one extra mini. Probably a common.
wxcougar - You are short one mini. Probably a common.

DeciusBrutus - I count 125 miniatures from the standard case. Looks like you are 2 rares short and 1 uncommon short of normal distribution. Could you please check and see what the 3 missing minis are?
Pygon - Are you sure you received a sealed case? Besides missing 3 rares, you are the only person to report 4 copies of a uncommon and 3 copies of a rare. My inital reaction was it looks like you received 4 bricks rather than a case.

My fault. I misstyped a rare and had you down for 12 rares.

Pygon - Are you sure you received a sealed case? Besides missing 3 rares, you are the only person to report 4 copies of a uncommon and 3 copies of a rare. My inital reaction was it looks like you received 4 bricks rather than a case.
I received them under a case subscription from Paizo. The box looked sealed to me, and inside were 4 plastic wrapped bricks.
EDIT: I'm double checking my numbers now, because my pile only contains two Warchief Ripnuggets... something may have gone wrong while I was recording numbers.
UPDATE: Yep, looks like I recorded one too many Ripnuggets, and one too few wraiths. Not sure how that happened. So Ripnugget count should be 2 and Wraith count should be 3. I would update my original post, but the edit timer has expired :(
I definitely received 4 Commandos on Goblin Dogs and am missing the 3 mentioned rares.

Ok I got my second standard case in, another full set though it was close, the last rare I was missing for the set in that case came out in the last box I opened.
I also had 1 broken mini, Harsk was missing his left arm with the crossbow.

Got my case in, still waiting on my rune giant though :(
First my thoughts
Likes:
1) the minis looked great
2) really liked the new packaging
3) loved a large in every pack
4) no brokens, though I few were bent you can definitely tell they are using a softer plastic
5) really liked the rarity groupings (ie what minis where in each rarity)
6) rares were actually rare, only got 4 doubles on rares (3 were larges I actually wanted doubles on, so awesome, the 4th was the skinsaw man)
7) getting a complete set
Dislikes:
1) Non-large Commons and Uncommons might as well be one rarity grouping
2) More Commons
3) Would have liked the Lucretia and Aldern models as either Commons or Uncommons out of all the rares they could see the most use in non campaign games as regular commoners.
4)More Commons
5)I miss the the smalls being a 2 for 1, if for no other reason then it meant you got a lot of goblins (it was great for the goblins, but the gnome/dire rat pairing was weird, though a gnome/halfling or two dire rat combo would have been great)
6) More Commons
7) Price, really, really expensive, at least the huges were sold separately, hopefully there will still be some available when I get around to buying some.
Okay so I'm harping on the Commons. Rares were great this time around.
On my Uncommon Larges I got 2-3 of each, and on the rare larges I got 1-2 each with the 1 each being the Red Dragon and Mokmurian. I liked how the rarities worked out on the Larges. Wouldn't mind a Common, Uncommon, Rare of 3/2/1 for the larges though. With things like Ogres, Dire bears, giant bugs, giants in the common, things like wendigos and forge fiends in the uncommon and dragon and large named characters like mokmurian in the rare. Which is sort of what I got to be honest, but it was just luck.
For the commons I got

I think its the getting only 1 of a common that really bugs me, but only 2 of 8 of the commons seemed fairly low too. Ideally I would prefer getting 3 or 4 of each common (4 to be honest). Commons are the minis you are going to probably get the most mileage out of in a regular game.
For the medium uncommons I got

Medium Uncommon slots seem to be the place for PC minis and the boss's lieutenants. Other then the mounted Goblin commando which I was glad I got three, I would have been fine with just 2 of the remaining uncommons. Great minis, just not ones I will need a lot of. Which is fine, I don't want a lot of these minis.
So far two sets in I have spent more money on extra commons then I did completing my DDM sets back in the early days, usually $20-$50, I've spent a $100+ both times now.
I really like these minis, and love that you should usually get a complete set, but man are they expensive, the increased number of larges per brick really cool though.
The rares becoming more rare was a great step in the right direction, just hope to see the gap between the commons and uncommons widen, Even if its just 1-2 Rares, 2-3 Uncommons, and 3-4 commons. Mainly I just don't like getting so many commons only twice, and getting only 1 of a common is just bad.

Just because I'm weird I put what commonality I would put the larges in in my mythical world with common/uncommon/rare large break down.
Don't get me wrong I really like Pathfinder battles, but this set was way too expensive, and I haven't even gone after the Huge case yet. The value isn't way off, you are getting a lot of minis, particularly a lot of larges, but they are too expensive, especially when its such a large set.
Hopefully the next set will be a little cheaper and there will be more of each common. This set was better then Heroes and Monsters and that was a good set too.

I kept track of where each booster was within the brick, if anyone thinks that important. It did make it easier to figure out my accounting errors: Some boosters had only 3 minis identified. Since I repacked everything in an OCD way for storage, it was simple to check those particular packs.
Clearly my count is off somewhere, since my tally has 33 figures in Brick 1, where each brick should have 32. With that in mind, though, I did get a complete set.
At least three of the figures were separated from their bases -- Wiz Kids really needs to get better about modeling figures so that this doesn't happen so easily -- and I could have been a good deal happier with the distribution.
Figures I felt were overrepresented in the set I got:
4 ea. Bugbear Hero (isn't that just Bruthazmus?)
3 ea. Kobold Champions (Enga Keckvia?), Jakardros, Lyrie, Shalelu

Although strictly for the actual campaign the Bugbear & Kobold are Bruthazmus & Enga, the do well as a generic bugbear & Kobold, so it was worth them being down at common (although I only got one Kobold :-()

No broken minis, though a couple with paint steps missed... nothing major. Lots of badly bent weapons. A few figures have a serious lean to them. I suspect that these are the product of the softer plastic. If that's the case I'd much rather have rigid plastic that I can glue back together if it's broken than misshapen models.
The storm giant is a HUGE let down. Very little detail. Garish colour palette. Large relatively flat areas that could have had painted details (cape and shield). It might be an overstatement, but my impression is that it looks like a toy form the dollar store.
Tons of great models. Some excellent paint jobs.
I have very mixed feelings about this set. A lot of my sourness could be chalked up to the three minis I didn't get though (I feel like I'm WAY off the distribution curve here). Lots of great singles to pick up. Kobold, bugbear, ogres, and stone giants are a sure bet.

Wow, Andrew, your case experience was VERY similar to mine. You and I both got 4 Commandos on Dogs, and lack the very same 3 rares. Your counts on other figures varied a little from mine, though. But not much!
I ended up picking up the 3 missing rares from another site. *cough*
Pygon and Andrew did you get your cases from Paizo? The minis you are missing were all in my 4th Brick. It could be that bricks were mixed while building cases at the factory.
I only had Two Commandos on Dogs. I did get a full set. Since I am running the AP, I am very pleased with this set. But I would have been bummed too if I were missing three rares after buying a case. That stinks.
Edit: Another thing I noticed, was that Andrew had 6 sets of duplicate rares from standard boosters. I only had four.
There was somebody on the first page of this thread that was also missing the same 3 minis as Pygon and me. They didn't post a full count, but mentioned specifically that they were missing them.
Also, my case came from Paizo.

My math might be off, that was just a really quick run through. 133 minis none broken none off of the bases.

Yeah, this is likely to be a significant factor, one would think.
Also the fact there is no longer the novelty of the first set may reduce people's enthusiasm for reporting. Plus the steep increase in case prices will presumably result in fewer purchases of a complete case.

I had the same problem with my H & M cases. Apparently I just have issues from when opening the minis to logging them on paper.

I got a full set, with no minis missing! I had one stone golem that was off its base, but I pushed it back down on the pegs and it's staying all right without glue so far. No damage or breakage apart from that.
