1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'm proud to announce the posting of the final pages from the Tome of Horrors Complete on d20pfsrd.com! Yep, it's all there. All told, I've posted 714 monsters, 56 animals, 82 templates and example creatures, 18 hazards, 8 planes of existence, 23 feats, 17 new creature subtypes, 5 spells, 2 artifacts, 1 universal monster ability, and 1 cleric domain. Roughly 900 web pages of material!

It's been a blast digging through Frog God Games' magnum opus - thanks to the team there for such a great book!

Honestly, it's going to be nice to have some free time again. It's not like they have another gigantic book waiting in the wings, right? Wait, Slumbering Where? Good grief!

Enjoy,

Brett, d20pfsrd Beastmaster

Don't forget Rappan Athuk

This is an incredible feat of endurance. Thanks for getting this all out there Brett.

The Exchange

To be sure Brett did the vast, vast majority of TOHC but I want to assure everyone that many others worked on this book as well.

Vlad (Beastmaster #2, who seems to have gotten a job in the industry) also put a massive amount of effort into the first stages of getting this book posted and his efforts and time are hugely appreciated.

Caedwyr, while not running the 3pp sections of the site frequently stepped in to help check things out or get things moving. Always a champ.

Many others also contributed their time and energy in getting it added to the site. Aron M. (from across the pond) unfortunately (for him) had a long unemployed period. I say for him because it wasn't unfortunate for us (aka you) since he was able to devote large amounts of time for this book as well.

There were really way too many other people involved in one way or another to thank everyone individually.

Obviously we all also have to thank the Frog Gods themselves for getting this converted to Pathfinder. So thanks to Bill, Greg, Skeeter, THE Rachel (blonde frog), and ugg that Chuck dude.

Ok, since I had to mention Chuck I guess I should share the details on his history with the site. Chuck (Wright, aka Pale Writer) has been a good friend to the site almost since day 1. Chuck, for those who may not know, is now the main layout guy at Frog God and he himself did the vast majority of the TOH conversions we had on the site prior to the release of TOHC. Unfortunately now most (all?) of his efforts have been lost since I think all of the TOH conversions should now be replaced with official versions from TOHC. Alas, his efforts were certainly not wasted. I'm sure there have to be a number of GMs out there gleefully squealing over the corpses of the stupid fallen PCs who dared challenge his dungeons. FOOLS! DIE AT THE HANDS OF CHUCKS CONVERSIONS!

:)

Ok, back to the trenches for me. I have to tidy up a few pages before I'll be mostly incommunicado whilst attending only the worlds greatest geekfest ever in the history of mankind.

PS: We should also thank Wizards of the Coast, and most particularly Ryan Dancey, for the creation of the OGL and for releasing all of these monsters into the wild in the first place. You all should know and understand that it is only because of this one decision that both Pathfinder and the Tome of Horrors Complete can even exist. While we may have issues with later decisions or design ideas WotC may have made, you can never thank them enough for that one huge gift to the gaming world.

For Pathfinder conversions in the TOHC, the lion's share of the glory goes to Greg Vaughan and his team of converters and editors. I don't know them all, but hopefully Greg does. :-)

{Takes deep breath}

If it helps any, there is supposed to be a Hero Lab Data file for Rappan Athuk eventually. Wait for that, then a lot of copy-paste could work.

*claps* That must have been an obscene amount of work. Kudos to everyone involved.

Speaking of the book, it is awesome and you should buy it (if you haven't already).

Silver Crusade

Thanks again for your hard work, gents. When some of my 3PP stuff finally gets around to seeing the light of day, I'll most certainly give a thumbs-up for it appearing on the d20pfsrd.

Congrats you guys, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your hard work.
