You can move 5 feet in any round when you don’t perform
any other kind of movement.
You can take move equivalent actions that are not movement. Movement entails moving from one place to another. If you take a move equivalent action, and your position has not changed (i.e. you are still standing in the same square), you have not moved and can take a 5' step.

I am not sure of this. It states that you can not 5' step if you take any toe of movement. Moving to speed is obvious but things like drawing a weapon or wand or standing up from prone are not so clear.
What move actions or part of move action can you take that also allow you to take a 5' step?
Pretty much anything that doesn't actually result in actual movement.
My rule of thumb is any move action that doesn't actually make my character leave his square will allow him to use the 5ft step.

...you can't take a 5-foot step in the same round that you move any distance.
If you don't leave your square, you haven't "moved", so you can still take a 5ft step. So standing up from prone, drawing a weapon, and so forth are all valid move actions in the same round that you take a 5ft step.

Any move action that does not result in "any other kind of movement."
Did your figure move into a different square? Then it's not movement.
Draw weapon, load crossbow, stand up from prone, ready a shield, retrieve a stored item, are all not movement.

They mean if your character takes an action that results in more than incidental actual physical movement. It does not stop you from utilising your 'move' action for other things.
I would think standing up from prone would be actual movement (but I am not sure if that is RAW), as would covering distance via walking, running or flying etc. They both expend your move action and result in your character doing more than incidental physical movement.
But using a move action to ready a scroll would not stop you from taking a 5 foot step.
Using a move action to reload a crossbow would not stop you from taking a 5 foot step.
Using a move action to draw a weapon would not stop you from taking a 5 foot step.
Does that help?
PS: I would state that teleporting on the battlefield also probably does not stop you from using your 5' step. While you end up 'moving' on the battlefield it was not 'physical' movement across the intervening area which I beleive is the intention of the rule.
