Sneak attack

Rules Questions

I'm gonna start playing a halfling rogue and gonna use a sling. How do i go about getting sneak attack with my sling?..should i even go for sling or just go with daggers like a normal rogue?

You need to be up close (30') to get a Sneak Attack in, but otherwise it's as easy/hard as stabbing them in the kidneys.

Silver Crusade

The main issue with ranged sneak attacks is that you lose the most reliable trigger: flank.

While sneak attacking is almost always easier to do in melee, it is possible for halflings to snipe from the shadows with great success! The new Advanced Race Guide has some fantastic options for sling-snappin' halflings who want to punish their foes with sneak attacks at ranged. Check out the "Swift as Shadows" racial trait from the mentioned book and bring on the rain!

You'll be weak as hell basically, good luck!

Sniper’s Eye (Ex)
Benefit: A rogue with this talent can apply her sneak attack damage on ranged attacks targeting foes within 30 feet that benefit from concealment. Foes with total concealment are still immune.

The above rogue talent will help in certain situations and so will having a monk in your party or someone else who can cause your opponent to become flat footed or be considered flat footed.
