If it is possible to make...what would it cost to make an item that gave me an extra 1st level spell slot?
I know about the Pearl of Power but I want the slot be able to filled when you memorize your spells.

heh no really I assume you just want to be able to memeorise a greater variety of spells ? in that case using scrolls really is the best answer.
headband of vast intellect increases your slots per day by granting higher mental stat which are quite expensive.
an item that grants what you suggest would be homebrew so cost suggestion will vary. I'd say maybe 5 times a pearl of power
any particular reason you want more level 1 spell slots ?

Ah sounds like your looking at Fast Study wizard discovery then that would let you memeorise a spell in 1 minute meaning you could leave most of your spell slots open to fill during the day.
Alchemist gets this ability for free
There's those items that have spell-storing. Not the best way, but I think it's arguably more slots.
Also, I thing an item to give more slots might be 3 or 4 times the cost considering there's a spontaneous equivalent to a pearl of power that grants an extra casting of a level that costs twice as much as a pearl of power.
Or would it be better to make Miscellaneous Item 1-shot items so they don't provoke?
Items of Spell Storing have minimum caster level. However, in some cases that could be useful.
What you really want is a ring of wizardry. If you are not an arcane caster perhaps you can get your GM to reskin one for divine use.

This special ring comes in four kinds (ring of wizardry I, ring of wizardry II, ring of wizardry III, and ring of wizardry IV), all of them useful only to arcane spellcasters. Oh, while I am thinking about it. If you really need a specific low level spell but do not have enough slots you can always use a higher level slot to memorize it in.
